- 1. How to be an academic Writer • Adopt to use academic english in all parts of your life • We must not use daily language because daily language is not enough to describe some overcrowded situations.
- 2. ---------------------------------- • Ideas must be explained concretely • However,sometimes ideas must be explained abstractly • Be careful about packing and unpacking information
- 3. • Learning new vocabulary will be beneficial for academic writing • Organize thinking and knowledge before write anything • Different levels of abstraction helps organized writing
- 4. • Try to provide many details • Also,thesis statement must be effective • Starting from first pharagraph is not necessary.Start from wherever you want
- 5. • To organize your ideas,you must know which type of essay you need to write. • Make your notes from your computer.You can take notes more systemattically with that way. • Try to write almost what you thought or the same
- 6. • When you are pharaphrasing your ideas,you must have at least one reference • Do not copy some parts of the passage which you wrote when you are concluding. • Do not just make pharaphrase,also analyze what you are writing
- 7. • All details of the essay do not have to be pharaphrased. • Be clear with your statements • Use language sensitively
- 8. • Try to use words which already known • Always,you must say why you are writing about this topic • You must introduce main ideas too
- 9. • Punctuations are necessary to use in academic writing • You must avoid shortened forms Ex: (should not) instead of (shouldn’t ) • You must avoid casual words too
- 10. • Read it aloud for realizing mistakes • Take feedback of people to realize your mistakes • Do not be in a hurry to complete essay
- 11. • It (essay) must be in a type of discussion • It is good to make a research about topic which you choose for essay • Examine some essays to have an idea about essays
- 12. • Try to avoid grammar mistakes • Using connecting words is also very important • Use only content which related to topic
- 13. • Try to summarize your ideas with less words • Deceive which evidences and examples you will use • Try to finish essay immediately and you will have time to review and examine it
- 14. • For introduction pharagraph,you must explain little that what you will talk about in the rest of the essay • Share your ideas about essay
