- 4. How to create a Gmail account? This presentation is intended for the use of aspiring VAs and internet newbies. It is a step by step, easy to follow visual guide that contains instructions in order to create a Gmail account as easy as 1, 2, 3! Just follow the steps and you’re done before you know it. Have fun creating your first Gmail account!
- 5. Are you ready? Let’s get started!
- 8. Point your mouse in the web address bar and click.
- 9. Type in www.gmail.com and press Enter.
- 10. You are redirected to the official Gmail page.
- 11. Click the red box to create your account.
- 12. Create a new Gmail Account page comes up.
- 13. It is necessary to give your personal information.
- 14. A blinking vertical line appears when the box is clicked .
- 15. It means that you can start typing the personal details.
- 16. Type in your first name.
- 17. Then your last name.
- 18. For first time email users, you must remember two things.
- 20. You need both to login into the new Gmail account.
- 21. Remember to keep a record of your Username and Password.
- 22. Create your unique username.
- 23. Change the username if you see this red error message.
- 24. Create unique password of letters, numbers and special characters.
- 25. Passwords are case sensitive so retype the it accurately.
- 26. Clicking the two triangles gives you a list of values.
- 27. Choose and click your birth month.
- 28. Type in the date.
- 29. And the year.
- 30. Choose and click your gender.
- 31. Gmail has 2 options for account security and recovery.
- 32. Option 1: Mobile phone number
- 33. Option 2: Alternate email address
- 34. Gmail notifies you when changes are happening in your account.
- 35. Or the account is accessed from a different computer.
- 36. Gmail sends sms verification code to your mobile phone.
- 37. Choose the country of your mobile phone carrier.
- 38. Enter your mobile phone number.
- 39. If your uncomfortable giving the mobile number, use option 2.
- 40. If you have an alternate email address.
- 41. An email confirmation will be sent to this email address.
- 42. Otherwise, leave it blank.
- 43. Click the box to skip verification if mobile phone is entered.
- 44. Otherwise, take note of the obscured text.
- 45. Gmail is making sure that “You are a human being!”
- 46. To avoid spammers that uses robot in creating an account.
- 47. Try your best to read the words.
- 48. Type the two words inside the box.
- 49. If impossible to read, click the speaker image to listen.
- 50. Just make sure that your computer volume is up.
- 51. Or click refresh if the words are unreadable or inaudible.
- 52. It generates two new words.
- 53. Type these words inside the box.
- 54. Choose the country of your location.
- 55. Tick box if you agree with Google’s terms & conditions.
- 56. If you disagree, Gmail won’t allow you to create the account.
- 57. The account details can be used for Google’s other services.
- 58. Other services are Blogger, YouTube, G+ and a lot more.
- 59. It would be helpful to keep the check mark.
- 60. You can save up time in creating accounts for these services.
- 61. You are almost done, click the next step.
- 62. This is Gmail welcome page, your account is now created.
- 63. Click on Continue to Gmail to start using your account.
- 64. Hurray! You can start composing and sending emails now!
- 65. To log out, just click on your email address.
- 66. And click on Sign out.
