Social issues in organizations represents one of
the most often discussed underpinnings in
information systems research throughout the
tenure of the IS field. Social issues are those
research topics most aligned with the human
factor in terms of information systems
planning, development and utilization of
information systems and technologies.

This mini-track would include all aspects of
social issues that are impacted by information
technology affecting organizations and inter-
organizational structures. Specifically, the
conceptualization of specific social issues and
their associated constructs, proposed designs
and infrastructures, empirical validation of
social models, and case studies illustrating
socialization success and failures would be
central to this mini-track.

Issues with USE:
Social issues regarding to IS uses depend upon the
society it-self. Like if the whole society or the
maximum people are well aware with the use of
Information Systems then there will be minimum
issues with the usage or we can say that the society
will handle it very calmly and will progress a lot. But
if the society doesn’t know much about IS then there
will be lots of issues like hacking, slow speed, loss of
data, shipment misplacement. These issues are with
the society not with the IS itself cause IS is developed
under highly trained and professional teams of
programmers.

Which consist upon programmers, analyst,
managers and employees, all the issues are with
the society like are with those customers, users
who don’t know much about the system that if
there is the TPS they don’t know how to place
order or they don’t know how to buy and pay so
then the IS will be crap nothing more to those.
