- 6. When do we use WILL in the future simple? (1) Predictions (based on opinion) Use will when we have an opinion about something in the future. In these cases, we usually also use verbs such as “think” or “suppose”. Example: ● He thinks we will come late. ● I suppose she will not like this. ● They think she will bake a birthday cake.

We also use this verb to express a spontaneous decision or any other event that was not anticipated.
