to help AML analysts in
investigations and EDD
process and in overall
AML risk management
Graphdo IT architecture
How Graphdo is built,
what are the hardware
and software
requirements and how
does it work? A brief
description of the
technical implementation
process

Graphdo functions
What Graphdo can do

4
Transactions visualization
◇ Automated transactions (payments, cash operations, acquiring,
financial instruments deals) scheme plotting for the selected
client and partners
◇ All interconnections will be plotted, various depth of
neighborhoods (direct partners, partners of partners etc.)
◇ Reach information visualization layers – objects size, color,
shape, font
◇ Full interaction with a plotted scheme:
■ Graph is zoomable
■ Graph and every single node are draggable
■ Nodes can be deleted manually in edit mode (optional)
◇ Export results in interactive HTML format or as a static image
5
Transactions visualization
Example of the
transactions
visualization in
Graphdo
6
AML risk assessment
◇ Graphdo finds suspicious transactions routes and patterns (cycles,
long chains, dense transactions between clients in the scheme) and
gives scored assessment of the complexity/suspiciousness of the
scheme
◇ Graphdo defines the category of every payment based on
keywords and text patterns in the payment commentary field. More
than 40 categories and more than 500 text patterns are used
◇ Discrepancies in cash flow purposes are calculated as a separate
risk score
7
Automation of EDD reports
Select client and
reporting period
Adjust
payments
graph, add
necessary
comments
Export
report with
all charts
and
comments
Graphdo can generate a detailed interactive report about client
activity in a few clicks. With adjustments to template according
to specific client’s requirements, this can be used as an
Enhanced Due Diligence report.
8
Information in EDD report
◇ The report is created in an interactive HTML format that allows
for storing a lot of information (like tables with transactions) in
one single file
◇ The report contains tables with transactions and summary
statistics by dates and partners, transactions graph, charts with
turnover structure by countries, currencies and purposes, as
well as commentaries added by AML officer
◇ Tables can be collapsed/expanded, filtered and searched right
inside the report file
◇ The report can include additional information about the client
obtained from other Bank data sources – owners and UBO
structure and graph, CRM information etc

Warehouse
Docker image with
Graphdo application
on local server
Web interface for
end users
◇All data remains in local network
◇Any SQL Data Warehouse can be used as data feed
for Graphdo. Other options are also available (graph
databases)
◇Additional software is free, no hidden costs
Graphdo requirements
11
◇ Graphdo is deployed as Docker image, any virtual machine with
Docker and connection to the database will fit
◇ No limit for the number of concurrent users. Every user’s session
runs in a separate Docker container. The virtual machine needs
one thread and 2 GB RAM for one concurrent user
◇ Graphdo uses LDAP authentication
◇ The data source could be any SQL database, specific NoSQL
databases for graphs (Neo4j, OrientDB) are also compatible
◇ Necessary data tables:
■ Transactions
■ Text patterns (initial set will be provided)
■ Partners whitelist (optional)
■ Table for users actions log
Graphdo specifics
12
◇ Graphdo is written in the R language which is very powerful in
data analytics, machine learning, deep learning tasks, and rich
data visualization capabilities
◇ Graphdo goes with open source license, full access to the source
code is provided allowing any security checks and audits
◇ Some functions in code could run in parallel mode speeding up the
overall working process; this requires more threads per user
Graphdo license and
pricing3
Graphdo license
14
◇ Graphdo is licensed under GNU GPL v3 – open source license
◇ Graphdo has no limit for the number of total users or concurrent
users
◇ Graphdo uses only open source and free components, no
additional licenses needed
Graphdo pricing
15
◇ Graphdo price depends on its functionality packages and size of
the client’s assets
◇ Additional specific modules (e.g. clients clusterization or multiple
reports production by script) are priced individually based on its
complexity
◇ Delivery price includes implementation costs, except travel
expenses
◇ Annual servicing fee is 20% of the delivery and additional
modules total price
16
