exposure to using machines such as the
computer by allotting appointed times
when they go to labs and do guided
research.

progress over time as they do their work

teachers and students.

 Encourages and facilitates different types
of learners(e.g. visual and auditory).
 Allows for access to information and
images of art works that are not readily

 Creates interest.
 Increases the creditability of the teacher’s
demonstrations and content.

 Allows for interaction between teacher
and student beyond the regular school
hours. (e.g. blogs)
 Allows for interaction between teachers in
individual schools and beyond.
 Encourages commonality in standards.
How does technology become a
hindrance to teaching and learning?
 Students want to become totally
dependant on the technology and shy
away from practical experiences.
 Students can become distracted and miss
the real lesson.

 The limitations with access to technology
affects students and teachers ability to
use them.
 Not everyone is proficient in using the
various forms of technology.
