This document discusses the enhancement of dynamic frame slotted aloha (DFSA) based electronic product code (EPC) Class 1 Generation 2 (C1G2) media access control protocol to address the tag collision problem in dense Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It validates through simulations that the efficiency of an RFID system is optimized when the quantity of tags aligns with frame size, introducing grouping-based algorithms, particularly the fuzzy c-means algorithm, which significantly improves throughput and slot efficiency. The research emphasizes the limitations of traditional DFSA under high tag density and proposes innovative approaches for better performance in RFID systems.
