The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission's Health Care Innovation Investment Program provides over $11 million in funding to 20 awardees to implement innovative models that improve health and lower costs. The program includes three pathways: 1) Targeted Cost Challenge Investments that support initiatives reducing costs in priority areas, totaling $6.6 million awarded to 10 projects; 2) Telemedicine Pilots that increase behavioral health access through technology, totaling $1.7 million awarded to 4 projects; and 3) NAS Interventions that enhance care for mothers and infants impacted by opioids, totaling $3 million awarded to 6 projects. The awardees will test models across a variety of settings and patient populations over periods ranging from 12 to 24 months.
