temperature to calculate drought. The index has normal conditions at 0 and progressive numbers to the

Anne Bradstreet s poem, The Prologue , is about the struggle of women in a Puritan Society. In the
Puritan Society, women are held to a certain standard. Women were not able to speak their mind,
openly show they were educated, or express themselves freely, because it was looked down on. The
Prologue , is titled to mark the beginning of her work. In this poem, Bradstreet acknowledges her role
as a woman in a Puritan society, but also makes a brave attempt to achieve freedom from the Puritan
Society. Bradstreet is on a mission to prove to the Puritan society that women are worthy enough to do
what men do. Bradstreet fights for feminism. Bradstreet begins her poem by acknowledging those
superior to her: To sing of wars, of captains, and of kings

My participant Santa was introduced to me by my aunt Norma. Santa and Norma both share a
grandson. Norma introduced me to Santa because she is a sixty five year old woman who has a lot of
experience because of the things she has gone through. Just like me, Santa is a Hispanic women trying
to live out the rest of her years as comfortable as possible. As I interviewed Santa, I realized that we
had many different diversity characteristics. Some of these characteristics was her immigration status.
Santa was born and raised in Puerto Rico for majority of her life time. It was not until the age of forty
nine that she had decided to migrate to Buffalo, NY. She had stated that she had never traveled outside

This film was a lot to take in due to is very unconventional use of mise en scene, cinematography, and
most of all editing. I can honestly say that if I had not taken this film appreciation course, sadly I
would not have made it through the first 10 minutes of pure madness. Had I not been able to better
