This document discusses how cultural heroes often project strength and success, hiding weakness. However, many superheroes embrace weakness as part of their story. Iron Man and Black Widow both use difficult past experiences to fuel their heroism. Jessica Jones and Professor Xavier also face personal challenges but are able to help others. The author shares her own struggles with addiction and abuse but finding purpose helping persecuted groups. She argues that acknowledging weakness can promote authenticity, community, and effective leadership in fighting injustice.
