THE MECHANICS BEHIND
                TELEVISION
Television (TV) is a telecommunication medium for transmitting
TV   and receiving moving images that can be monochrome (black-and-
     white) or colored, with or without accompanying sound. The two
     basic TV formats used are digital and analog.

An analog television
works by transferring
electromagnetic
waves into sound and
light energy.
WHAT ARE ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES?
Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) is a form of
energy emitted and absorbed by charged
particles, which shows wave-like behavior as it travels
through space.
Each type of television
receives a signal (EMR)
from a source (digital or
analog), and converts
that code into the
picture displayed on the
screen. How that digital
or analog code is
converted is complex
and varies widely with
each type of television.
