How can meekness make joy?

Blessed are the meek,
For they will inherit the earth

Matthew 5:5

Instead, whoever wants to become
great among you must be your
servant, and whoever wants to be first
must be your slave — just as the Son
of Man did not come to be served, but
to serve, and to give his life as a
ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:26-28

So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have
any quarrelling between you and me,
or between your herders and mine,
for we are close relatives. 9 Is not the
whole land before you? Let’s part
company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to
the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go
to the left.”

Genesis 13:8-9

Jesus did not stand in a position of
meekness and humility because he was
incapable and unworthy. He deserved to
be higher and enjoy more glory than
anyone else, but Jesus forsook all this and
stood in a position of meekness and
humility... A meek and humble nature like this is the
opposite of Satan's original nature of arrogance and
fury.
