- 1. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? - Construction of the trailer, poster and magazine cover
- 2. Photoshop • This software is used for editing photos to make them look professional. I used this to create and edit my poster, I was able to use many different effects and change the brightness to make my poster look more authentic. • I also made a movie title card for my trailer. I did this by using the 3D tool and different layers. By following a tutorial online I found this easy to make. • I edited the images for my magazine covers using photoshop, making sure that they were edited to a high standard.
- 3. InDesign InDesign is another software that allows you to edit photos and construct media products such as magazines and posters. This is why I decided to make my film magazine using InDesign. I used a font called ‘Hitchcock’ for the writing and made the title of the film red so it would stand out. I found this software easier to use than Photoshop.
- 4. Premiere Pro This is a software that ables you to edit videos at an industry level. I found Premiere pro really difficult to use at first and it took some getting use to. I tried out many different effects using this software, for example the colour correction on the dress. This technique was relatively straight forward. I also edited text onto my clips to conform to a film noir trailer.
- 5. I used youtube to upload different versions of my trailer to show my progression to the final trailer that I created. Edublo gs On my blog I kept record of my progression, this also allowed people to comment on what I needed to improve.
