NAME: Mirnell D. Gonzalez

Auditory. Describe a recent class situation in which you understood the material by
hearing an explanation. You really got it! Rate how often this happens on a scale of 1
(almost never) to 5 (almost always). Explain why you think you got it or why you think
you did not get it.

Answer: There is one of my four classes that by listening to the professor I catch
everything she says, and that’s my reading class. I take this class on Tuesdays and
Thursdays and is one of my favorites. No matter what the professor says, I always
understand her without any problem. However, I can understand her because, she
speaks slowly and make sure that you don’t stay behind. Also, if necessary, she
repeats what she said again. My scale rate would be: 3

Visual. Describe a recent class situation in which you understood the material by seeing
the explanation. Maybe the instructor used pictures or a model. Whatever she used,
you really got it! Rate how often this happens on a scale of 1 (almost never) to 5
(almost always). Explain why you think you got it or why you think you did not get it.

Answer: Science classes are the perfect answer with this question. In classes like this
one if the professor doesn’t show me photos, graphics or models of what she/he is
talking about, believe me I won’t understand anything. This is one of the classes that I
like and learn more visualizing. In my opinion, I think that it is easier for me this way
and I can understand and work better in class. My scale rate would be: 4

Kinesthetic. Describe a recent class situation in which you understood the material by
physically doing something. Maybe it was a science lab or maybe you constructed a
model. Whatever happened, you really got it! Rate how often this happens on a scale of
1 (almost never) to 5 (almost always). Explain why you think you got it or why you think
you did not get it.

Answer: In my anatomy class we had to learn the different body parts for quizzes and
exams. So for me to learn and memorize this information, I wrote songs and gave them
rhythm and began to touch the areas that I had to learn for that day. This helped me a
lot; I got an A on my final grade for the class. My scale rate would be: 5

Environment. Describe the environment (climate, lighting, ventilation, sound) that
helps you to learn the best.

Answer: For me, rooms with opaque lights help me prevent headaches and stress.
Also, the rooms with light colors (pastels) help me to stay quiet and not agitate myself
in the classroom. Another reason would be, silent classes are the best and help you to
stay concentrated and do better at work or exams. Finally, classes with air conditioners
or room temperature air help us stay cool, comfortable and ready to work. My scale
rate would be: 5
