Republic Act (RA) 10121 (Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management act of 2021) Republic Act (RA) 9155 (Governance of Basic Education) - Vested the Department of Education with the authority, accountability, and responsibility to ensure access to basic education which is often disrupted by emergencies and disaster. -Mandated all government agencies to institutionalize policies, structures, coordination mechanisms and programs with continuing budget appropriation on disaster risk reduction and management national to local levels.

Facilitate the assessment of school building structure and electrical wiring and make necessary repairs and/or upgrades to prevent unnecessary incidents. 2. Repair minor classroom damages. 3. - 9. II. SCHOOL DISASTER MANAGEMENT Post a directory of emergency contact numbers of relevant government agencies and officers, in various areas of the school. Establish and maintain early warning mechanisms in the school. Equip school with first aid kits, flashlights, megaphones, and other supplies necessary in cases of emergency. Identify alternative sources and/or maintain supply of drinking water within the school.
