All conventional transformers employed today rely
on very inefficient use of secondary coil BEMF
induced flux to trigger an increase in power (and
crippling heat) in the primary coil to deliver power
to a loads.

Transformer primary coil over heating is a major
waste of power, a significant waste of energy,
reduced efficiency and a primary cause of
transformer failure and revenue loss.

As can be seen from the graph
the useful output power region
of a conventional transformer is very
small and limited when compared to
the waste heat losses region.

The Bi-Toroid Transformer (BiTT) uses the same
secondary coil BEMF induced flux but redirects
it in a very efficient way away from the primary
coil and uses this magnetic flux to do useful
work in the adjacent secondary coil.

Energy losses as heat are minimized because the
power delivery burden on the transformer
primary is virtually eliminated and in some cases
the on-load power in the primary can be
reduced to below the no-load condition.

How to Eliminate Transformer Cooling Requirements Using Bi-Toroid Transformer Design
