The Scenario Of Sericulture
Scenario of sericulture industry in Maharashtra State, India
Hiware Chandrashekhar Jalba
Abstract
Sericulture is one of the oldest industries in India and Asia. Sericulture is an agro cottage, forest based
industry, labor intensive and commercially attractive economic activity falling under the cottage and
small scale sector. The silk is the final product of this industry. It particularly suits to rural population
working with agriculture, entrepreneurs and artisans as it requires low investment with potential for
relatively higher returns. It provides income and employment to the rural poor especially, farmers with
small land holding and marginalized and weaker sections of the society.
Maharashtra is a nontraditional sericulture state producing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The bivoltine sericulture development has been one of the priority sectors of Indian silk industry but
its production is yet to meet the targets. Women play a dominant role in this sector, as the activities are
mostly home based. Women have been contributing to all the sectors of Sericulture starting from on
farm activities to fabric production, marketing and consumption. The involvement of women in
different activities of Sericulture is well above 53 per cent
Gangopadhyay, 2008 [1].
This paper mainly focused on socio economic development, employment generation, and sericulture
sector activities in the state. Sericulture industry requires low investment and it helps to earn higher
returns in short gestation period, due to this the farmers are getting attracted to this sector and it is a
best tool to improve the rural economy as well as to improve their living standards. It is a boon to the
rural population associated with agriculture and helping them to avoid suicidal attempts by earning
very good amounts throughout the year.
Keywords: Sericulture, agro cottage based industry, employment generation, socio economic
development, Raw silk, Maharashtra state etc.

Essay on Public Service Broadcasting Within The Plural...
Introduction
British Broadcasting Corporation [BBC] has played its role as a Public Service Broadcasting [PSB] in
England since 1926. It was set up on Baron Reith s hands as an educative media building public s
character by establishing and socializing cultural value to the society via its programs. Hitherto, BBC
s work focuses on the cultural connection among the society and plays a role as its guardian rather
than pays attention to the diversity among them (Curran Seaton, 2003). However, some critiques about
its existence started raising in the end of 1980s as the appearance of the Sky Media commercial
satellite television company which gave larger opportunity for public to choose what they want to see.
Recently, one of the most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, its operation focuses more on fostering the civilization and democracy rather than to gain
revenue. Besides, it also must be willing for a limited autonomy in its operation since the government
has the authority to control its working mechanism.
The core objection of this form of broadcasting is to serve public by providing quality information and
facilitating public discourse to enforce democracy and advance civilization. In term of quality
information, PSB plays a role as socio cultural agent whose duty is to perpetuate the high culture and
raise public awareness as an united national entity. Furthermore, in its role as a discursive arena, PSB
exists as a practice of Habermas idea of public sphere where public as a political community exercise
their freedom of assembly and freedom of information to solve their social problem as well as to reach
an agreement about the common good which is expected to affect the policy in a society (Hauser,
1998).
To guarantee that this democratic function works well, PSB must guarantee that its operation is
impartially detached from either state or market interest. In this case, BBC is a good example.
Since it s mobilization from private company to public corporation, BBC operates as a form of
quangos (Butsch, 2007) which work as an independent organisation playing a governmental role.
Since 1946, its operational fund comes from the

William E. Boeing s Influence On The Plane Making Industry
William E Boeing made a company that has changed the industry of plane making, but how much
influence did William E. Boeing have ton the plane making industry? Boeing s impact is large as the
company has influence the industry by several ways such as starting from a small company and
expanding to the world s largest company, making the first wide bodied plane, and going the distance
in reinventing the company to rise above their competitors.
In August 1915 William E. Boeing applied to the Glenn L. Martin School in Los Angeles. After he
completed his courses he ordered a plane known as Model TA from the Martin Factory to learn more
about how planes are made. The Model TA inspired Boeing to construct aircrafts. He hired twelve
men and they began building the first Boeing plane. William E. Boeing combined a factory and a
seaplane hangar by Lake Union and made the first test flight of the first Boeing plane. His first
airplane was a seaplane, and he sold several of them to the US Navy to use as pilot training jet during
World War 1. Between World War I and World War II, the Boeing Company developed both civilian
and military aircrafts and their heavy bombers played ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

would now charge less for flying and would not need as many aircrafts (Martin 13). Another reason
why this plane is significant is because it was The Boeing Company s first plane to be entirely
designed on a computer. Designing planes on computer was one of the several changes that The
Boeing Company made to its company after the unveiling of the Boeing

The Stolen Horse Book Report
The stolen horse of world war two The most beautiful and priceless stallions had been captured and
stolen by third reich 350 dazzling white thoroughbreds royal Lipizzaners and Arabian steeds. The
fuhrer had ordered the stately beasts seized across Europe and planned to create a bloodline of the
purest most beautiful horses the world had ever seen. But as the German front collapsed in 1945 Hitler
s stable of super horses threatened to become stew for the pots of hungry Russian troops as they
advanced on berlin. The daring mission by American troops to rescue the horses from behind enemy
lines herding them across 130 battle scarred miles is detailed in a fascinating new book The perfect

Many were snatched by the Nazis from the Spanish riding school in Vienna and the magnificent steeds
were trapped in Czech territory as general Patton s 3rd army raced toward them from the west and the
red army approached from the east. By 1943 the Nazis had gathered almost every Lipizzaner in
Europe at a stud farm near vienna acquired by Hitler s master of the Horse Gustav Rau. The beautiful
Lipizzaners were priceless. A prized Arabian today can fetch 5 million. This was an equine treasure
trove. But the Fuhrer s aim was sinister (World War II a.n.d.)
Just as Hitler wanted to eliminate impure Human strains so Rau planned to use selective breeding to
erase the individual differences characterising the several strains of Lipizzaner that had emerged and
replace them with a single mould pure imperial and ideally suited to military use. Though the US
army dispensed with horses by 1943 the Nazis embraced them employing 2.7 million during the
second World War. Almost two thirds were killed or wounded. But as the German army collapsed in
1945 the prized Uberhorses were evacuated to Nostau in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. The

Minimum Legal Drinking Age Analysis
The age of 21 is the appropriate age to allow the consumption of alcohol in the United States.
Moreover, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that in 2010,
552 lives were saved by the minimum legal drinking age (Voas, 2013, p. 1601). But traffic safety is
not the only concern, if lowering the minimum legal drinking age, health and behavior issues will also
be of concern. The possible consequences of lowering the minimum legal drinking age to 18 may
include an increase on the number of deaths caused by alcohol related accidents, high schoolers
underage drinking problem, and alcohol related sexual assaults. Therefore, I do not support the
lowering of the minimum legal drinking age to 18.
According to Wechsler and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since alcohol appears to enhance interest in sex, (Hart Ksir, 2015, p. 221) young people drink and
could engage in sexual risky behavior such as having unprotected sex or casual sex with multiple
partners. A consequence of unprotected sex could be an unwanted pregnancy or a sexual transmitted
disease. Many studies have found that drinking alcohol at the time of the offense have been reported
on more than one third of all rapes and sexual assaults (Hart Ksir, 2015). Alcohol impairs the thoughts
and places the young adult drinking illegally at risk of sexual assault. The alcohol use increases the
chance for sexual assault including rape.
I am in favor of the minimum legal drinking age to remain 21 as it is working keeping the alcohol out
of the hands of teens. The minimum legal drinking age law prevents alcohol related fatalities, high
schoolers underage drinking problem, and alcohol related sexual assaults. The effects of the alcohol
are already detriment and its consumption by those younger than 21 will create safety, health and
behavioral challenges, so the age control strategy should not be

Eiland, L., Romeo, R. D. (2013). Stress and the developing adolescent brain. Neuroscience, 249, 162
171.
The adolescent phase is characterized by diverse and dynamic physiological and psychosocial
changes. One of the most integral changes, as elicited by the authors, is the response to stressors. With
specific regard to this stage, the author denotes that the stage is characterized by major shifts in HPA
(hypothalamic pituitary adrenal) axis reactivity that amounts to escalated induced hormonal reactions.
The author further explains that the factors that mediate such changes with respect to stress reactivity,
as well as the consequent impacts that they may have on an individual, are yet to be substantiated.
However, this literary research establishes that the stress sensitive cortical as well as limbic brain areas
that are always in constant growth, especially during this stage, are extremely vulnerable to the
changes that are prevalent. On the other hand, the perturbations with respect to the adolescent may in
turn contribute to heightened psychological dysfunctions inclusive of depression, drug abuse, and
anxiety.
The adolescent stage is faced with continued brain growth and maturity. These changes are intuitively
core in the emotional and physiological behaviors of adolescents. These authors establish that the
stressors that are pertinent during this developmental stage have an

Computer Programming And Informational Technology
One of the best sources for career information is the U.S. Department of Labor s Bureau of Labor
Statistics (BLS). According to BLS data, 74 percent of new STEM (science, technology, engineering
and math) jobs through 2022 will be in computing (Hoffman). This information shows that computer
science is a major field, and that it is growing rapidly; However, there are not enough people to fill the
roles in this field. So, in order to understand how computers work and what career paths are associated
with them, It s important to figure out how the hardware works, software works, and then see what
career paths there are in computer programming and informational technology in order to educate
people on what they need to learn for this career. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then information is then sent to the CPU, which has three basic capabilities: to perform basic
mathematical operations, move data from one memory location to another, make decisions to jump
from one instruction to another (Laue). Next, the character is sent to a RAM chip, an integrated circuit
made of millions of pairs of transistors and capacitors that are linked to create a memory cell. These
capacitors and transistors are arranged as a grid, with the columns connected by bitlines and the rows
connected by wordlines. The combination of bitlines and wordlines defines an address for each switch
and capacitor. This also accounts for why this type of memory is called random access: you can access
any memory cell directly if you know its address (Laue). Finally, the letter is sent to the output device,
which includes monitors, printers, modems, ethernet cards, and speakers. Modems are the hardware
device through which most of us were introduced to the Internet. The computer operates exclusively
with Is and Os, with a digital code. By contrast, phone lines work with an analogue signal, an
electronic current with variable frequency and strength. It is the modem s job to demodulate data from
a phone line, to convert the wave to a series of Is and Os, and to modulate the data generated by the
computer, to convert the Is and Os to a continuous wave (Laue). So, the hardware of a computer
works by receiving an input from a keyboard, sending it to the motherboard s

Analysis Of Becoming The Boss By Linda Hill
Analysis of Becoming the Boss Linda Hill s article Becoming the Boss details several helpful and
important ideas for first time leaders and managers to consider. My first overview of the article

managers. Hill makes the statement throughout the article that the transition into becoming a leader or
new manager is often very traumatic and the failures of the new managers are not surprising. After a

It is important for the subordinates to remember the individual taking on the new managerial role was
previously just in the subordinate s position. There are many aspects of the new role to learn and the
best help the new manager can receive is support from his or her subordinates. As a person new to a
managerial role, Hill s advice in the article on learning through everyday experience by making
mistakes is extremely reassuring. Within the article, Hill elaborates on the misconception that
managers wield significant authority (Hill, 2007, p.3). Once new managers have made it to the top, it
is important for them to realize they were just in their subordinates position. Hill (2007) quotes a new
manager stating, It s humbling that someone who works for me could get me fired (Hill, p.5). From
personal experience, in the beginning, my superior has warned me it will first and foremost be my
work that pushes me to the Hartness 3 top of the company. In addition to my individual work, it will
be the relationship I build with the people under me. Lacking an effective relationship with my
subordinates will take me back to the bottom of the company. Hill lists forging good individual
relationships as a misconception (Hill, 2007, p.7). Although team building is extremely important, I
would disagree with Hill s statements on team building being more important than individual
relationships (Hill,

Three Key Characters Of Hawking In Ripper By Stefan Petrucha
In the novel Ripper by Stefan Petrucha a fourteen year old boy named Carver is adopted and is
mentored by a retired detective named Albert Hawking. This book focuses around Carver and how he
deals with being an orphan, as well as trying to be adopted before he gets thrown onto the streets by
Ellis like a bag of trash. The novel has many key events that drive the plot forward, but these can be
boiled down into three main events. The three events are when Carver becomes adopted by Mr.
Hawking and is mentored in the ways of a detective, when it is revealed to Carver who is father is and
what role he has played in his life throughout the novel, and the resolution of the novel when carver
receives the final note from his father that leaves some questions to be answered.
The first event starts the entire plot of the book, which is when Carver is adopted by Mr. Hawking.
This event sets into motion the rest of the novel as Carver is trained to become detective just as
Hawking did, and that sets up the antagonist of the novel Jack The Ripper. For Carver to be adopted
he had to prove his skills to Hawking through a series of puzzles designed by Hawking, as Carver is
struggling to solve the last test Hawking finds him and says, Boy, you ve come this far you can t just
back down now (Petrucha 32). Hawking s motivation drove Carver to solve the last puzzle revealing

Residential Schools in Canada Essay
Sociology
Dr.C.Barry McClinchey
Residential Schools in Canada Before the nineteenth century, the Aboriginal people had their own way
of teaching the children in their community, through organic education. In addition to providing
knowledge and skills, organic education kept their culture alive (Ravelli amp; Webber, 2013: pg. 237).
This is because the Aboriginal children would also be taught about their culture and its customs. But
the Europeans thought, Canada s First Nation peoples were in the way of the relentless onrush of
capitalist and industrial expansion (Ravelli amp; Webber, 2013: pg. 238). This is when the residential

is an important part to culture. Language extinction is a concept presented in the film. When a
language is lost, then its culture will start losing its organization. Killing the language of the
Aboriginals will lead end their culture, which is what the Europeans wanted. By forcing the
Aboriginal children to speak English, the language they spoke with their parents will be lost (Ravelli

weren t allowed to speak a word of their language at all and they were restricted from seeing their
parents on a regular basis (Bob, Geraldine amp; Marcuse, 1993). The nuns greatly enforced that these
children not speak their language, so that they could completely forget about it.
Looking glass self was a concept that was applied. Looking glass self is how people describe who they
are by how others describe them. According to C.H. Cooley, have to envision themselves through
social interactions because the mind does not create the self (Ravelli amp; Webber, 2013: pg. 153). An

White Privilege Sociology
White privilege is a form of structural racism where whites are routinely advantaged while producing
adverse outcomes for people of color such as Blacks and Hispanics. White privilege is a historically
based system which still exists in the United States (US). In my view, white privilege system marked
the beginning of racial inequality in the US. White privilege exists in the United States and is one of
the contributing factors to the injustices people with color are facing in the US.
White privilege is a unique form of racism given its fascinating characteristic of not involving
hostility. Therefore, it cannot be directly blamed on someone (Pludo, 2015). The lack of blame does
not cause any discomfort on the white persons enjoying the privileges. ... Show more content on

For instance, in a scenario when an injustice occurs when a white is favored against a nonwhite who is
in a similar situation as the white person (same social class, same education or same job skills).
Neoliberalism has partly contributed to racial inequality in the US. The concept that the free market is
the best way to organize a society greatly favors the white (Pludo, 2015). However, the social
formation needs not to be considered racist.
Although efforts have been made to fight white supremacy, nonwhites continue to face injustices
based on their color. The US has made efforts towards liberal multicultural era whereby white
supremacy is obscured by certain events. The election of President Obama was a step towards liberal
multicultural era (Melamed, 2011). Obama s government made efforts to empower people with color
in the US.
Whites are less likely to encounter with the police compared to African Americans. African Americans

Windows Operating System Introduction: Windows Operating System was developed by Microsoft
Corporation, released its first version of Windows in 1985 and it was simply a Graphical User

that of Vista and it met different modest system requirements and better speed improvement. In 2012,
Windows 8 was released with new User Interface and number of enhancements. It has better
advantages like multi core processing, touch screens and other input methods. In 2015, Microsoft
released Windows 10. The OS is designed in such a way to have a consistent interface across various

these obstacles determines whether or not they reach the Celestial City. In the novel, The Pilgrim s
Progress, John Bunyan writes about a man named Christian who had a dream that led to a pilgrimage.
Throughout the book, Christian meets many people who are setting out to be saved and receive eternal
security. Eternal Security is a teaching that asserts that once a person is truly born again by the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit, nothing in Earth shall be able to separate us from the love of God, but
due to a variety of different reasons they all turn around and go back home. One outstanding person
that Christian encountered was Faithful. He accompanied Christian on his journey and faced many
trials, but he never lost courage or gave up. When Faithful and Christian reached Vanity Fair, Faithful
was murdered because of his beliefs; therefore, he will spend eternity with Jesus Christ in Heaven. In
the poem, No Man is an Island, John Donne states No man is an island, entire of itself. Donne is
implying that is takes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Atheist could not see the city with his own eyes; so, he gave up seeking it, and he tried to encourage

sin, that he did not want to change all he knew to trust in someone that he did not know. In ,No Man Is
An Island, John Donne states, every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the whole. It means that
everyone is a part of the Celestial City, not just one sinner. The trials and temptations Obstinate,

Symbols And Symbols Of Icons
Iconography is the traditional or conventional images or symbols associated with a subject and
especially a religious or legendary subject (Iconography). Icons are used in all religions to represent
and commemorate religious figures and symbols that are held with great honor within the religion.
Icons are used to represent some sacred personage, such as a saint or an angel or Christ (The
Definition of Icons). Icons are typically written on wood and honored as sacred (Goldammer). Not
only is the writing itself seen as sacred but the whole practice of creating these icons is a religious
event. There are three main types of religious icons: portrait icons, group icons, and landscape icons
referring the the objects in the writings.
There are rules associated with iconography that have to be followed in order for the image to be
viewed as an icon. Before the artist starts writing the icon, they are supposed to fast and pray so that
they are in a clear, undisturbed state of mind. The artist needs to quiet one s spirit, which is done
through the praying and fasting. The quieting one s spirit is a way to open up and let God in so he can
do the work. The artist is instructed not to sign the writing as it is supposed to come from God
therefore, there is no credit that needs to be given. Another rule is that icons are referred to as written
instead of painted or drawn . Describing them as written emphasizes the important spiritual role that
these icons possess.

Comparing Cloning, Cryonics, And Calorie Restriction
Since ancient times there has always been a debate in the field of philosophy of whether individuals
continue to live after death. Although many religions believe in the concept of immortality . I believe
that immortality could exist, because of cloning, cryonics, and Calorie Restriction. For hundreds of
years people have been attempting to preserve and prolong life, and essentially become immortal.
There are many new technologies in this time of scientific exploration and advancement that claim to
do these things. There are many methods that are currently being studied as ways to either prolong life
or to become immortal. All of these aspects take a different approach to man s constant search for
immortality. Immortality has primarily been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If death is an eternal oblivion then cryonics can offer an alternative and the probability, no matter how
unlikely, cryonics can offer a future. Cryonics is particularly popular among people who want to be
immortal . Cryonics is nothing more than an attempt of raising the dead making them alive again.
Actually the word cryonics is the practice of chilling a dead body at subzero levels in the hopes of
someday reviving it. Cryonics is the practice of cooling a person immediately after death to the point
where the molecular physical decay completely stops, and the presumption is that scientific and
medical procedures currently being created will be able to revive them and restore them to good health
later. A patient held in such a state is said to be in cryonic suspension . There is reasons to believe that
current cryonics procedures will preserve the anatomical basis of the mind. Cryonics became more
efficient with the implementation of nanotechnology in it . The first mention of nanotech occurred in a
speech given by Richard Feynman in 1959. Historically cryonic experiments started in 1962 with the
publication of the prospect of immortality . The main idea of cryonics is that personality, identity, and
memory are going to be stored in cellular structures in the brain. There are many paths to immortality
and it seems that cryonics could be a path to do

Fahrenheit 451 Week 3 Assignment
I picked the top panel on page seven of chapter 12. I picked this panel because of the shape, the
iconography, and the closure that is created. This panel is in the shape of a rectangle and makes it
seem like this moment is stretched out and paused. It is very still because of all the death that is
blocked off by the gutter, but it is still surrounding freezing it into a quiet moment of stillness. It is
also a moment to moment transition panel, so the sense of time being stretched is further emphasized
by this. If you look at Laurie s distressed face, you will notice that her tear is the shape of the blood
splatter on the iconic Watchmen smiley face symbol. With a little closure, it makes it seem as though
she is crying tears of blood for all the dead people. Also, Laurie is wearing a choker with a skull icon
on it that tactfully emphasizes the destruction of New York. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Babylon Revisited Symbolism
The story of Babylon Revisited by F. Scott Fitzgerald is about a father s attempt to regain the custody
of his daughter after a series of personal disasters. The two major characters in this story are Charlie,
realistic father fighting for his daughter Honoria, and Marion, the unrealistic sister. Charlie s quest to
win back Honoria, for example, is also his quest to prove to himself and those who know him that he
is a new man. Only a year and half before, he was an unemployed, irresponsible alcoholic with poor
taste in friends. He now presents himself to his sister s family and his former friends as a changed
man, once again sober and employed, a reformed sinner with a new appreciation of personal character
as the eternally valuable element.

Sock And Glove Drive Analysis
One time that I implemented a new idea was when I was working a vice president role of a
volunteering organization at my high school. I came up with the idea to create a Sock glove drive for
those less fortunate as during the winter times, a lot of homeless people don t receive gloves or socks
and that is the reason why some of them can get so cold during the winter time. Before deciding to do
specifically a sock and glove drive over just a clothing drive, I talked to various homeless shelters to
see what their opinion was on what articles of clothing were needed most. After we had decided on the
drive, I had reached out to more shelters including goodwill, Lazarus house, and some women s
shelters, to see if they would be interested in us

Should Books Be Taught In Schools
Throughout the course of education, certain books are an informative resource to develop and learn
new knowledge in progressing the brain ability to understand fundamental issue. The United States
educational school boards and professors have the responsibility for protecting their student s mind
and cover the appropriate material for their students decision. However, does this responsibility cover
the extreme act of no dignity from challenging certain books in the school library or public library?
The repetition of censoring books in school has been widespread due to the explicit content of
inappropriateness. Oftentimes books are challenged without literally understand the content by
judging the author s covers. When a book consists of offensive or sexual material, then parents would
challenge the schools to prevent their children from reading them. Certain kinds of books are being
challenged, challenge or banned books infringed upon the student s freedom to read what they want in

Nas The Space Shuttle Essay
On the icy morning of January 28, 1986, seven brave people boarded the Challenger space shuttle. All
of America sat around their televisions watching and waiting for the space shuttle to finally lift off.
One of the seven people aboard this shuttle was Christa McAuliffe, a teacher in the Teachers in Space
program and would have been the first civilian to go into space. Her students were invited to come to
NASA and watch. The engines roar sounded loudly and the shuttle finally left the ground. It was an
illuminating sight to see, until a flame started at the base of the shuttle. The space shuttle caught on
fire what seemed like instantly, and exploded within seconds. Due to this tragedy, the NASA space
program has made several improvements to prevent tragedies like this one from ever happening again
(Carreau). NASA may have made improvements, but the horrifying memory of this disaster will be
embedded in the minds of the people of America and Christa s class for the rest of their lives. The day
that the shuttle took off was not the original lift off date. The date that was originally planned was
January 25, 1986, but was cancelled due to weather conditions. This was the first cancellation of
many. On January 26, the weather condition was perfect, but due to the cancellation the day before,
the shuttle was not quite ready for takeoff yet. Just to make sure everything was ready, the flight was
rescheduled for the last time on January 28. Christa McAuliffe,

In the article, Patz states that several women believe the only benefit from the use of birth control is
pregnancy prevention. However, there are several other pros to the medication that women can benefit
from and several different types of brands and devices that can provide women with these benefits.
Patz states the best contraceptive device for women with heavy periods would be the Mirena hormonal
intrauterine device, also called an IUD. The Mirena IUD is a plastic device that is inserted in the
uterus by an OB/GYN and lasts for five years. Patz states The Mirena also releases low doses of a
hormone called levonorgestrel into the lining of your uterus, which can whittle away your period
(Patz). Patz also suggests the Yaz or Yasmin oral contraceptive device brands for women suffering
with pre period bloating. Some brand options for women with acne problems are Yaz, Ortho Tri

testosterone in a women s body, which leads to oil production. For women with lubrication issues,

Goblins songs are full of onomatopoeias such as Clap!, Snap!, Grab!, Nab!, etc... The songs also

Society is completely unaware of the blood, gore, and true horrors that war brings leading them to
become desensitized and accepting of war. Military advancements have shaped how war is fought
today. Now that war can be fought by bombing enemies with drones thousands of miles away, face to
face combat is not as present as before making war seem less gruesome to society. World War II is
considered to have been the largest and deadliest war in world history, killing 62 million people on the
battlefield, in massive bombings of civilians in cities, and by genocide (World War II 147). Many
people believe that war only involves the soldiers fighting in the front line. The harsh reality that
society seems to dismiss is that thousands of innocent people have died because of war. In World War
II cities became the prime military targets of air and ground campaigns (Roger W. Lotchin). World
War II had been going on long enough and the United States had already lost thousands of lives

United States decided to make the Atomic Bomb (America at War: The War Ends in the Pacific).

Accountant
Career Demand The public accountant provides a range of accounting and auditing services to
everyone from individual taxpayers to businesses. Accountants can even become more specialized and
become auditors and government accountants. Accounting is typically a 9 5 weekday job, as those are
the hours that most businesses operate. Some overtime is typically required if there is an audit or it is
tax season. The primary roles of a public accountant can be divided into three distinct jobs. The first
job, and the most commonly accomplished, is known as performing external audits of companies
(Public Accountant Job Description). Under Sarbanes Oxley, United States businesses must submit a
full audit of their company s annual budget sheets along with many other financial documents to an
external accountant who reviews the documents and certifies that the reports are accurate (Zhang,
2007). The second job that accountants have is offering tax services to the public (Public Accountant
Job Description). Often citizens prefer that an accountant complete their taxes annually, especially if
that person is self employed. The third job that accountants complete is consult services. Often
corporate and estate planning law firms willl hire accountants to assist in creating ideal wealth
management options for clients and ensure that those options are in agreement with current tax laws.

Friar Lawrence Character Analysis
Even the best of intentions can have tragic ends: a lesson well portrayed by the holy friar of Verona. At
a first glance, one would consider Friar Lawrence only a minor influence in the tragedy of Romeo and
Juliet. However, he is much more significant to the development of the play. Friar Lawrence acts as a
catalyst to further sequence love and peace. He is without a doubt, a very complicated individual, and
it is his complex nature that makes him such an interesting character. In William Shakespeare s Romeo

his naive fatal flaw

when they are in despair, such as when Romeo arrives at the friar s cell crying himself to death. The
friar responds, Thou shalt live, till we can find a time to blaze your marriage, reconcile your friends,
beg pardon of the prince, and call thee back (3, 3, 150 152). Here, Friar Lawrence acts as a mentor to
Romeo, and uplifts his spirits by guiding him through the difficult times of banishment. Friar tells
Romeo what he wants to hear because he understands Romeo s boundless love for Juliet, and what
may happen as the consequence of forbidden love. Moreover, Friar Lawrence has noble intentions that
give himself no personal gain. When he agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet, he says, In one respect I ll
thy assistant be, for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households rancor to pure love (2, 3,

It was set up on Baron Reith s hands as an educative media building public s character by establishing and socializing cultural value to the society via its programs. Hitherto, BBC s work focuses on the cultural connection among the society and plays a role as its guardian rather than pays attention to the diversity among them (Curran Seaton, 2003). However, some critiques about its existence started raising in the end of 1980s as the appearance of the Sky Media commercial satellite television company which gave larger opportunity for public to choose what they want to see. Besides, it also must be willing for a limited autonomy in its operation since the government has the authority to control its working mechanism. The core objection of this form of broadcasting is to serve public by providing quality information and facilitating public discourse to enforce democracy and advance civilization. In term of quality information, PSB plays a role as socio cultural agent whose duty is to perpetuate the high culture and raise public awareness as an united national entity. Furthermore, in its role as a discursive arena, PSB exists as a practice of Habermas idea of public sphere where public as a political community exercise their freedom of assembly and freedom of information to solve their social problem as well as to reach an agreement about the common good which is expected to affect the policy in a society (Hauser, 1998). To guarantee that this democratic function works well, PSB must guarantee that its operation is impartially detached from either state or market interest. In this case, BBC is a good example. Boeing have ton the plane making industry? Boeing s impact is large as the company has influence the industry by several ways such as starting from a small company and expanding to the world s largest company, making the first wide bodied plane, and going the distance in reinventing the company to rise above their competitors. In August 1915 William E. Boeing applied to the Glenn L. Martin School in Los Angeles. After he completed his courses he ordered a plane known as Model TA from the Martin Factory to learn more about how planes are made. The Model TA inspired Boeing to construct aircrafts. He hired twelve men and they began building the first Boeing plane. William E. Boeing combined a factory and a seaplane hangar by Lake Union and made the first test flight of the first Boeing plane. Moreover, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that in 2010, 552 lives were saved by the minimum legal drinking age (Voas, 2013, p. 1601). But traffic safety is not the only concern, if lowering the minimum legal drinking age, health and behavior issues will also be of concern. The possible consequences of lowering the minimum legal drinking age to 18 may include an increase on the number of deaths caused by alcohol related accidents, high schoolers underage drinking problem, and alcohol related sexual assaults. Many studies have found that drinking alcohol at the time of the offense have been reported on more than one third of all rapes and sexual assaults (Hart Ksir, 2015). Alcohol impairs the thoughts and places the young adult drinking illegally at risk of sexual assault. The alcohol use increases the chance for sexual assault including rape. Stress and the developing adolescent brain. Neuroscience, 249, 162 171. The adolescent phase is characterized by diverse and dynamic physiological and psychosocial changes. One of the most integral changes, as elicited by the authors, is the response to stressors. With specific regard to this stage, the author denotes that the stage is characterized by major shifts in HPA (hypothalamic pituitary adrenal) axis reactivity that amounts to escalated induced hormonal reactions. The author further explains that the factors that mediate such changes with respect to stress reactivity, as well as the consequent impacts that they may have on an individual, are yet to be substantiated. However, this literary research establishes that the stress sensitive cortical as well as limbic brain areas that are always in constant growth, especially during this stage, are extremely vulnerable to the changes that are prevalent. On the other hand, the perturbations with respect to the adolescent may in turn contribute to heightened psychological dysfunctions inclusive of depression, drug abuse, and anxiety. The adolescent stage is faced with continued brain growth and maturity. These changes are intuitively core in the emotional and physiological behaviors of adolescents. These authors establish that the stressors that are pertinent during this developmental stage have an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Then information is then sent to the CPU, which has three basic capabilities: to perform basic mathematical operations, move data from one memory location to another, make decisions to jump from one instruction to another (Laue). Next, the character is sent to a RAM chip, an integrated circuit made of millions of pairs of transistors and capacitors that are linked to create a memory cell. These capacitors and transistors are arranged as a grid, with the columns connected by bitlines and the rows connected by wordlines. The combination of bitlines and wordlines defines an address for each switch and capacitor. This also accounts for why this type of memory is called random access: you can access any memory cell directly if you know its address (Laue). Finally, the letter is sent to the output device, which includes monitors, printers, modems, ethernet cards, and speakers. Modems are the hardware device through which most of us were introduced to the Internet. The computer operates exclusively with Is and Os, with a digital code. By contrast, phone lines work with an analogue signal, an electronic current with variable frequency and strength. It is the modem s job to demodulate data from a phone line, to convert the wave to a series of Is and Os, and to modulate the data generated by the computer, to convert the Is and Os to a continuous wave (Laue). Within the article, Hill elaborates on the misconception that managers wield significant authority (Hill, 2007, p.3). Once new managers have made it to the top, it is important for them to realize they were just in their subordinates position. Hill (2007) quotes a new manager stating, It s humbling that someone who works for me could get me fired (Hill, p.5). The three events are when Carver becomes adopted by Mr. Hawking and is mentored in the ways of a detective, when it is revealed to Carver who is father is and what role he has played in his life throughout the novel, and the resolution of the novel when carver receives the final note from his father that leaves some questions to be answered. The first event starts the entire plot of the book, which is when Carver is adopted by Mr. Hawking. This event sets into motion the rest of the novel as Carver is trained to become detective just as Hawking did, and that sets up the antagonist of the novel Jack The Ripper. For Carver to be adopted he had to prove his skills to Hawking through a series of puzzles designed by Hawking, as Carver is struggling to solve the last test Hawking finds him and says, Boy, you ve come this far you can t just back down now (Petrucha 32). Icons are used in all religions to represent and commemorate religious figures and symbols that are held with great honor within the religion. Icons are used to represent some sacred personage, such as a saint or an angel or Christ (The Definition of Icons). Icons are typically written on wood and honored as sacred (Goldammer). Not only is the writing itself seen as sacred but the whole practice of creating these icons is a religious event. There are three main types of religious icons: portrait icons, group icons, and landscape icons referring the the objects in the writings. There are rules associated with iconography that have to be followed in order for the image to be viewed as an icon. Before the artist starts writing the icon, they are supposed to fast and pray so that they are in a clear, undisturbed state of mind. The artist needs to quiet one s spirit, which is done through the praying and fasting. The quieting one s spirit is a way to open up and let God in so he can do the work. The artist is instructed not to sign the writing as it is supposed to come from God therefore, there is no credit that needs to be given. Another rule is that icons are referred to as written instead of painted or drawn . Describing them as written emphasizes the important spiritual role that these icons possess. ...
