HOW TO USE

CANVA is an amazingly free
graphic design tool.

A tool loaded with enough
easy-to-use features

It has functionality to create
professional-looking image
graphics

First we need to create a
free online account

Open a browser of your choice

For this tutorial we’ll use Google browser

Type www.canva.com
in the address bar

You’ll be redirected to Canva site

You can sign up using Facebook account

Using Google account

Or sign up using an email account

We’ll create one using email account

Fill in your name

Fill in your email address

Confirm you email address

Create a password

Then click Sign-up button

Next, this comes up, select your preference

Next, select what you are going to create

Or click “MORE DESIGN” for more options

This displays if you select “More Designs”

Or click NOT SURE to explore Canva

This displays if you select “Not Sure”

Click the “Show Me” button
to play a video sample

Don’t forget to check your
confirmation email from Canva

Click “Confirm Account” button

You’ll be redirected to this page

Now let’s dive in
to

Select a template from pre-made
designs to start

Or click “More” for additional designs

More additional designs to choose from

Or click custom dimension
to create your own

Enter value for the “Width”

Enter value for the “Height”

Choose the correct unit of measurement

Then click “Design” button
to create your desired dimension

This time let’s try
a customized template

Click this to create a Facebook post

A new window tab opens

Let’s check the additional
Menu buttons

“Undo” button

“Redo” button

“Help” button

The “Sidebar Menu”

Click “SEARCH” for photos and others

Click “LAYOUTS” for both free and premium layouts

Click “ELEMENTS” for shapes, illustration, etc.

Click “TEXTS” for free text formats and
customized templates to add

Click “BACKGROUND” for plain, textured,
and photo backgrounds.

Click “UPLOADS” to import…

Now let’s create a design!

Let’s use the Facebook post
pre-designed layout

Type on the box to search
for specific image

Or scroll and click to select layout

Let’s customized a chosen
template by adjusting
the elements

Click the text to edit

Retype to edit your text

You can change font style

Just click and select a style

You can change font size

Click size and select your preference

You can change font color

You can make it bold

You can make it italicized

You can change text alignment

You can click uppercase or lowercase

You can insert bullet list

You can adjust spacing of letters

You can ungroup or group text

You can copy to duplicate text

You can arrange the format
of text in a group

You can change the transparency

You can create a link to a website

Just type the website address

Then click apply

Click delete icon to remove element

Select text you want to remove

Then click delete to remove text

You can add heading text

You can add subheading text

You can add body text

Or scroll down for more text formats

Select a format and drag

Edit the subheading text

Let’s add some elements

You can also edit the image
by clicking it

Edit to a solid color
of your choice

Apply filter color to your image

Crop image

Flip image

Edit spacing

Click to rename the design

Type the design title

Click done to save

Click share when your
ready to post

Share the design with
specific people

Type the email address
of the person

Select if person can edit or view

Click done when ready to share

You can share through
social media

Provide link so others
can view or edit

Or click embed to copy code
and paste in website

Click download to save your
design in your computer

Select file type in downloading

Then click download button

Toggle button to make
public your design
