How to Use Canva to Create Quick Facebook Photos

- 2. Canva is a free graphic- design tool website
- 3. To start, open your browser
- 4. Canva works best using Google Chrome
- 7. This is Canva’s log-in page
- 8. To create account, let’s sign up
- 9. Sign up using your Facebook account
- 10. Or your Google account
- 11. Or sign up using your email account
- 12. For this tutorial, let’s use Facebook
- 13. Click Sign up with Facebook
- 14. Facebook log in window will appear
- 15. Enter your email address or phone number
- 17. Click Log In
- 18. Click Continue
- 19. This is Canva’s homepage
- 20. Let’s choose a design
- 21. Click More to view other designs
- 23. Scroll down to see more designs
- 24. Click the design to select
- 25. Let’s try Facebook Post
- 26. You will be directed to a new tab
- 28. Scroll down to view more layouts
- 29. You can also search your layout
- 30. Type your key words here
- 31. Click the selected layout
- 32. Preview of your design on the right
- 33. Click Elements to add elements
- 36. Click Free Photos to add photos
- 37. You will see selection of free photos
- 38. Scroll down to view more photos
- 39. Drag the selected photo to your layout
- 40. Selected photo is now on your layout
- 41. You can change the color of the text
- 42. Click on the text
- 43. You can see options for text editing
- 44. You can change the font
- 45. You can change the font size
- 46. You can change the font color
- 48. Now let’s change the font color
- 50. You can make the font Bold…
- 51. ..or Italic
- 52. You can arrange it in the center
- 53. You can also make the font all uppercase
- 54. Or in a list or bullet
- 55. Click spacing to edit spacing
- 56. Click Letter spacing to adjust letter spaces
- 57. Increasing the spacing moves the letters apart
- 58. Click Line height to adjust space between lines
- 59. Increasing the height increases the textbox space
- 60. Click Copy to duplicate the text
- 61. Click Arrange to change the text position
- 62. Click Forward to put it on top of the image
- 63. Click Back to put it at the back of the image
- 64. Click Transparency to adjust clearness of text
- 65. Drag it to the left to make it paler
- 66. Click the bin to delete the text
- 67. Click the text again to edit the smaller text
- 68. Click the box surrounding the text
- 70. Drag it down
- 71. Click the smaller text
- 72. Again you will see options for text editing
- 74. Now, click on the photo to play around it
- 75. You will see options for editing
- 76. Click Filter to adjust the quality
- 77. You can choose what filter to use
- 78. Scroll to the right for more filter
- 81. You can also adjust Brightness and Contrast
- 82. Click Advanced Options for more options
- 84. Play around with these options
- 85. For example, adjust Blur to focus more on text

- 87. Click Crop to re-size the photo
- 88. Pull or drag the corners to adjust size
- 89. Click the Check (√) after re-sizing
- 90. Click the Cross (x) to cancel
- 91. Click Flip to flip the image
- 92. Click Flip Horizontally to flip sideways
- 93. Observe the difference in the image
- 94. Click Flip Vertically to flip vertically

- 96. Click Spacing to adjust spacing of the image
- 97. You can change the spaces around the photo
- 98. Click Copy to produce exact picture
- 99. You now have two photos
- 100. You can use the copy to new page
- 101. Click Add a new page to add page
- 103. A new page is created
- 104. Drag the other photo to the next page
- 105. You now have a duplicate photo
- 106. Going back to your first photo
- 107. Click Forward to bring photo over text
- 108. Or click Back to bring photo under text
- 109. Click Transparency to adjust clearness of photo
- 110. Drag to the left to make the photo paler
- 111. Click the bin to delete the photo
- 112. You can also add your own photo to the layout
- 113. Click Uploads
- 115. You can upload picture from your computer
- 117. Or from your Facebook
- 118. Let’s try uploading from computer
- 119. Click Upload your own image
- 120. Click your photo
- 121. Click Open
- 122. Your photo is being uploaded
- 124. Photo has been uploaded and ready for use
- 125. Drag your photo to the layout
- 126. Until the image is changed
- 127. You can once again edit the text
- 128. Or edit the photo
- 129. Click Text to add text to your design
- 130. Select from the variations of fonts
- 131. Click or drag the text you prefer
- 132. Move and re-size the text to your desire
- 133. Click the text to edit content
- 134. Again, there’s the text editing options
- 135. Click outside of the design
- 136. Click design title to re- name your design
- 137. Put your new title
- 138. Click Done
- 139. To share your design with Facebook, click Share
- 140. Your options for sharing
- 141. Share your design via Facebook or Twitter
- 142. Click Facebook for sharing in FB
- 143. You can write caption for your design
- 144. Click Share now
