- 3. IFTTT is use to automate your apps, websites and smart devices.
- 4. To use IFTT, you need to sign up for an account first.
- 10. Input email address and password.
- 14. Sign-in to IFTTT using your email address.
- 16. Once registered, you can start connecting apps immediately.
- 18. This is your dashboard.
- 19. Click “Create” to start Creating a Recipe.
- 21. Recipe is a simple connection between the product and app you use.
- 23. Click “this” to get started.
- 25. Select a channel to serve as the “Trigger”
- 27. A trigger channel is a chosen service that kicks off the cause in your cause-and-effect IFTTT recipe.
- 28. For this tutorial, let’s use Facebook.
- 30. Since FB is not yet activated, this appears.
- 32. Click “Connect” to add the FB Channel.
- 34. A login window to FB will appear.
- 36. Log In by entering your FB credentials.
- 40. Click “Done”. Your FB is now connected.
- 42. Click “Continue to the next step”.
- 44. You'll be presented with a list of specific trigger events available for the channel.
- 46. For this example, let’s use “You are tagged in a photo” event.
- 48. Click “Create Trigger” to complete the fields.
- 50. If you was tagged in a photo, now what?
- 52. Click “that” to setup the consequence.
- 58. Again, you'll be presented with a list of specific trigger events available for the channel.
- 60. Let’s use “Upload file from URL” event.
- 62. Once Action Fields are completed, click “Create Action”.
- 64. Don’t forget to add a “Description”.
- 66. Click Create Recipe to finish.
- 68. The IFTTT recipe is now complete!
- 70. In this case, once the FB account is tagged in a photo,
- 71. it will automatically save in the Google Drive.
- 72. To see all recipes created, click “My Recipes”
- 74. Edit a recipe, using the icons on the right.
- 76. Deactivated recipe, appear grayed out.
- 78. Use the pencil icon to edit, delete recipe or view its log.
- 82. To see the lists of all recommended recipes you can use.
- 86. To see the lists of all supported channels.
