This document outlines a project to create a mobile and web application to help skaters find new spots, advertise local skate shops, and reduce conflicts at popular spots. It will use a crowdsourced map with user-submitted ratings, comments, and secret spots. The system architecture will include a web and mobile front-end that inputs and outputs spot data to a backend using Python, MongoDB and Linux. Challenges include acquiring test data and getting shop participation. It compares the project's features to competitors and outlines each team member's responsibilities over 10 weeks.
