Most people believe projection needs a darkened room to be successful and to achieve vivid bright colours. … .. Are you one of the millions?
Four Biggest Mistakes Made Think that the projector brightness is the key to better images. That darkening a room is the only way to improve a projected image. Improved sharpness is because of the source and resolution of the projector. That plasma and LCD is vastly superior to projection.
Four Facts Not Understood Far cheaper to spread light than building pixels. It is actually possible to have a 1000w lamp pointed on a screen without any impact on the projected image. Matt White screens can discard up to 95% of the projector brightness in a well lit room. Virtually the entire industry and public think that projection requires a darkened room
The Single System Mistake Improve the source and upgrade to DVD Concentrate on the projector resolution (XGA), lens resolution and picture quality Purchase high res DVD player and HDMI cable Then they make the fatal flaw of throwing all their attention to detail away on a low res white screen.
Commercial Display Installations. Using alternative technologies that simply do not achieve the desired standard. Some companies simply get it wrong for their clients
Hardware Store in Brussels. Using 14” TV for in-store display very few people can see or take notice. Small non-compelling Display that does little to capture attention.
Underground Train Station in Asia Rear projection install on track safety glass wall at 60 stations. Image only 4% visible and totally unreadable. Rear projection screen with commercial advertising image that cannot not be read in any condition.
Dubai Property Exhibition. Despite the huge budget for the display stand, this image promoting a large commercial development displays a barely visible image that is to suppose to excite, inform and attract investors.
Virgin Records London. Despite the large projector the image displayed in this area of the flag ship Oxford Street store store is sadly lucking any quality and does not achieve what was desired.
Why should we use Digital Daytime screens? Most affordable large screen display technology. Enables projection to be used in many environments. DESIGNED for high ambient environments. Higher resolution than LED – cinema quality resolution. Wide range of screen types and formats. Now used in many applications. All content protected by copyright and subject to unauthorised distribution or use. ICE AV Technology Ltd  2004
