- 2. What is data? The best way to describe data is to look at an example; LO22OL; data is unprocessed raw facts. There is no meaning to data, although we can guess, we do not know what it is.

- 4. What is Knowledge? Knowledge is the use and application of the information. Knowledge involves what people can actually interpret from the information they have access to. This is mainly due to the context that has been added to the data.
