- 1. Sara Idea – main plot Peace and Megan are friends – stab a girl (peace planned it and Megan was part of it but didn’t know the extent of what they were going to do) Both sentenced for 7 years. In jail friendship is destroyed as Megan blames peace for being in prison and peace doesn’t like the fact that mean is given more respect/status in the prison. Over the year peace creates problems for Megan. Newbie Carla arrives at prison – sentenced for life for murder but is innocent. How and why is she there? Newbie gets bullied needs to build up a respect/status. Observes and finds out about the conflict between Megan and peace. She develops a friendship with mean after showing her that peace is trying to get her in trouble. Megan and peace’s case is re-opened as a witness claims Megan’s role was not key in the stabbing. Megan is released early and promises to free Carla and prove her innocence. This is when she writes book/ re-opens case. Parnyans Idea – Face Up – main plot Megan – the writer /narrator Megan and Peace dare each other to grab an old lady’s handbag. Peace goes to grab handbag but the lady holds on, peace panics and takes out a knife to cut bag but accidently stabs her. Peace runs away leaving Megan. A witness sees the incident and calls police. (megan and peace both in jail peace longer sentence, both angry, friendship broken) Old lady survives Guard falls for one of the characters and tries to help them as they are bullied Logan’s Idea Megan and Peace are step-sisters Bad childhood – both abused by father (beaten) Father gets arrested (girls call police on father) Father goes to court but is found not guilty due to lack of evidence Megan wants revenge and plans to kill him but tells Peace they just going to scare – asks for peace’s help. Father survives Megan arrested for attempted murder and Peace arrested for assisting Peace angry and upset with Megan for lying to her and getting her arrested. Megan becomes top don and due to her confrontation with peace when she is being bullied megan turns her back on her. Newbie Carla becomes peace’s cell mate and eventually friend and learns the truth of what happened. Carla knows what it’s like to be abused and teaches Megan and peace to be grateful they have each other. George’s Sub Plots Governor (male) is quite nasty and fancies female guard. Guard 2 is slightly kinder but very formal and methodical
- 2. Sathma Main Plot Megan and peace are friends. Megan is good but peace gets her involved in drugs. Police arrest them Peace gets longer sentence for dealing drugs but Megan is under the influence. NEWBIE Carla was in the wrong place at the wrong time ended up at a murder scene and was arrested as the murderer although she was trying to help. Evidence went against her. She heard the name Jack. Life sentence 15 years In prison Carla and Megan become friends - case to be re-opened Megan released and comes across a gang who try to rob her, hears the name Jack and makes a connection with Carla’s case and risks her life by befriending jack and getting a confession. Carla and Megan write a book which their children are reading. Marie Main Plot Megan and Peace in same gang and have a shootout with another gang where a girl gets shot. Someone snitches on Megan and peace that end up in prison with 10 years each. Both bad in prison Newbie comes and is in an enrichment program with Megan. They end up talking which peace jealous gets seeing them getting close. Peace tries to break up Carla and Megan which Megan doesn’t like so they have a fight. Megan realises peace is no good for her and Carla changes her life. Navina Main Plot Carla is innocent protecting her brother who enters prison as a therapist. Brother falls for Peace who is enemies with Carla. Brother asks for Peace’s help to get Carla out of prison. Peace misleads brother getting Carla into more trouble. Kind inmates help Carla to prove her innocence – gets out of jail and brother goes to jail. Rajan Plot Megan and peace are sisters, who do A class drugs. Caught by police, Megan against wall. Peace Taser’s police man who dies, Megan tries to stop her but she doesn’t listen Both in jail for murder and drugs. Peace and Megan break apart when they go jail and create two different gangs.
