Introduction
This section will give you information about the different examination papers
that are available. Your teacher will have already decided which examination
papers you are going to take. You should be very clear about which papers
you will be sitting at the end of the course.
1.1 About the examinations
 Option A: if you are taking the coursework.
Paper 1- set texts, open books. This is going to be the 75 % of the mark.
Paper 2- coursework. The other 25 % is reflected here.
 Option B: if you are being prepared for paper 3 (the unseen paper) this is
your option.
Paper 1- as we already said the texts are sets and it is with open books. The
75 % of the mark is showed here.
Paper 3- it is the unseen paper which will have the 25 % of the mark.
 Option C: two examination papers, you may not take your texts into the
exam.
Paper 4- set texts, closed books. 75 % of the mark.
Paper 5- set texts, closed books. 25 % of the mark.
1.2 More information about the papers
 Paper 1: set texts- open books

 Must answer three questions: drama text, poetry text, prose text.
 75 %
 Paper 2: coursework
 Each assignment between 600 and 1000 words.
 Translations are not allowed.
 25 %.
 Paper 3: unseen
 Answer one of the 2 questions offered: either an extract from a prose or a
question on a poem.

 You cannot take your books into the examination.
 Answer 3 questions: one on a drama, poetry and a prose text.
