The user survey conducted by Seattle Public Library revealed that the majority of interlibrary loan (ILL) materials were borrowed by Seattle residents and were mostly works of fiction published in the last four years. Respondents highly valued the ILL service, citing its importance for research and access to out-of-print books, with a majority expressing support for the $5 fee. Typical patrons were identified as approximately 60-year-old individuals who prefer picking up items at the central library and submit one ILL request per month.
