Create a folder on your desktop and download an image to place inside. Open a blank text file in a text editor to begin coding an HTML webpage with basic <html> tags. Add a <title> and <body> section with text inside. Save the file as index.html and open it in a web browser to view the created homepage.

- 3. 3) open a not-formatted file in notepad/text pad
- 4. 4) create basic element tags <html> </html>
- 5. 5) name you browser tab <html> <title> My Homepage </title> </html>
- 6. 6) add text by creating body tags <html> <title> My Homepage </title> <body> Hello World! </body> </html>
- 7. 7) save file as index.html
- 8. 8) right click and select "open with" and choose your preferred web browser
