This case study examines how a global software corporation supports universities in successfully implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems into business education programs. The researcher analyzed online information, meeting notes, and documents from 2007-present. While critical success factors for ERP implementation in businesses include management support, end-users, and change management, universities differ in that professors have high autonomy. For ERP implementation in university courses, key factors are having champions, networking opportunities, available curriculum, opportunities for research/publication, evaluation, and planning. Barriers to adoption in universities include issues with acceptance, lack of cloud solutions, complexity, insufficient resources and materials, and lack of interest or cooperation.
