Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA)
has been playing a significant role in accelerating the industrial and
economic development of Pune region for more than seven decades now.
It is one of the most active chambers of Commerce in India and has been
instrumental in promoting number of institutions in Pune. MCCIA has
continuously driven to make Pune a global business destination and has
been catalyst for economic development of the region.
As part of its commitment to the members and the business community
at large it has decided to set up a Business Ventures Incubation Centre
for the Entrepreneurs in the service industry for western Maharashtra
region. The Incubation hub shall be used by the young members of the
MCCIA where in the organisation will help them set up a new business
model into practical reality. For this processes it will provide centralised
facility for the members.
Financial, Marketing, Legal, Medical, Software, Design and development,
Safety, Quality control, Management, training etc., are some of the
established services in the region. The proposed incubation hub shall
cater to new as well as existing service enterprises looking for innovation
in their respective business.
The objectives of the Incubation hub are,
1. To provide two fold patronage.
§ To innovate new business models and enterprise in service
industry.
§ To sustain and promote service industry by creating new
opportunities.
2. To provide a conducive creative environment for the talented
entrepreneurs of the region.
The promoters have earmarked site admeasuring about 2.68 Acres for
the project in the revenue village of Vadgaon Sheri in the proximity of
Kalyani Nagar near Pune Airport.

1. To understand and resolve complexities involved in multi-function, multi-storied
and multiple services dependent design program.
2. To enable the students to comprehend design program with respect to Activity
Organization, Site Planning, Movement Pattern - Vehicular as well as Pedestrian
in all three dimensions, Scale and volume of development envisaged.
3. To enable the students to comprehend Promoters’ specific requirements vis-à-vis
Design Alternatives available interpolating with Local Development Bye-Laws.
4. To enable the students to comprehend non-specified essential requirement
generated by the Development envisaged.
5. To enable the students to make observations on the functioning of similar
development after making field study and relate the various findings in the
Project.
6. To enable the students to understand Architectural response in order to achieve
energy efficiency while integrating multiple services within a development.
7. To integrate function, structure and services in a building, choice of structural
system and resultant effect on visual form or aesthetics of building.
8. To understand the intangible associations with the Business Incubation
environment as a designer and to understand relevance of interactive public
spaces in creating vibrant built environment conducive to innovation in service
industry.

The Project site is located in revenue village of
Vadgaon Sheri, a suburb in Pune City. The site is
accessed by 30.0 meter wide riverside road on south.
It is abutted by residential development on east and
north side. On the west side the site is abutted by a
nalah and commercial development beyond. The site
admeasures 10734 Sq. M. approx. with flat terrain
and a few well grown trees as marked on the site
plan.
