The students were sensitized about the joy of giving program and the need for giving. Then an invitation was sent to the parents & students to participate in the joy of giving week.<br />The core team conducted a meeting with the students who were interested to participate in the joy of giving week and generated ideas about what to do?
The core team visited Government Upper Primary School, Masjid Banda Kondapur.   There our students interacted with govt. school children and discussed the problems that they were facing. Later they also met the teachers and the Head master of the school.  In this visit they found many   issues which needed to be attended immediately. Along with the Head Master of the school our children chalked out a programme based on the priority and divided the issues into two phases.
The core team discussed and thought of solving the main issues in the Government Upper Primary School Masjid Banda.          On September 15th our school registered for the joy of giving contest.<br /> The mentor teachers called for a meeting with the core members to

  • 2. The core team visited Government Upper Primary School, Masjid Banda Kondapur. There our students interacted with govt. school children and discussed the problems that they were facing. Later they also met the teachers and the Head master of the school. In this visit they found many issues which needed to be attended immediately.   • 5. her to organize a fete to raise the funds for this purpose.
  • 6. A fete was organized and Rs. 37,000/- was raised by the students for the above said purpose. Plumbing material, 1000 lt. syntax water tank needed material for the shelter (dining space) like iron poles, asbestos sheets were purchased.
  • 7. In this regard student ambassadors visited local M.L.A., Honorable Member of Legislative Assembly, Serilingampally constituency, and discussed about the issues in the Government Upper Primary School Masjid Banda and requested his support and invited him to be a part of this noble cause. A letter was given in this regard and a copy of the same was sent to the D.E.O of Rangareddy District and M.E.O., of Serilingampally.Implementation week of the joy of giving<br />September 27-09-10 to October 03-10-10.
  • 8. Day 1 (Sep 27th) : The Joy of giving week commenced with the acid wash of the rest rooms of the Government Upper Primary School Masjid Banda, Kondapur.
  • 9. Day 2 (Sep 28th) : An awareness campaign was conducted regarding cleanliness and personal hygiene and it followed by a power point presentation on above topics to the Government school children.
  • 10. Day 3 (Sep 29th) : Work started with the replacing of the syntax water tank and required plumbing work. The core team supervised the work.
  • 11. Day 4 (Sep 30th) : The core team along with other students went to the Government Upper Primary School and cleaned up the area allotted for dining with the help of children of Government Upper Primary School.
  • 12. Day 5 (Oct 01) Work started for the dining shelter with the help of the school supporting staff.
  • 13. Closing ceremony of the joy of giving week ended with the inauguration of the dining space, by the Honorable M.L.A. of Serilingampally constituency and the core members distributed sweets among the children of the Government Upper Primary.
