This document proposes designing an induction heater with safety features and SD card data logging. It operates based on Faraday's and Lentz's laws of electromagnetic induction. Key features proposed include using an SD card for logging current, temperature, and status data, and shutting down the system safely if current or intelligent power module (IPM) temperature limits are exceeded. A microcontroller would control an IPM and capacitor bank to generate an induction magnetic field for heating applications. The system would be constructed as a small prototype to demonstrate basic induction heating functionality.
