Riley visits her therapist to discuss her paranoia and trauma from killing her abusive ex-boyfriend Shane four years ago in self-defense. During a visit to Shane's grave, Riley sees a white rose, which was Shane's signature gift to her. Convinced Shane is still alive, Riley drives erratically and argues with her mother and friend Mya, who try to convince her Shane is dead. Returning home, Riley hears Shane's voice behind her, leaving her frozen in fear and uncertainty about her mental state and whether Shane is really dead.
