Inheritors of jannah
Jannah :The Eternal Abode
• "Allaah has promised to believers - men and women - Gardens under which rivers flow,
to dwell therein [forever], and beautiful mansions in Gardens of everlasting bliss. But
the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allaah. That is the supreme felicity [or
success]". (9:72)
• "...and those who obey Allaah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with
rivers flowing underneath, to abide therein [forever] and that will be the supreme
achievement". (4:13)
• Allaah (swt) in this hadith qudsi: "I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no
eye has seen, no ear has heard and has never crossed the mind of any human being".
Then the Prophet (saw) said, "Recite, if you wish: "No person knows what is kept hidden
for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do". (32:17)
• The joys of Paradise are far greater than the pleasures of this world, which pale into
insignificance in comparison.
Jannah : Al-Firdaws
• Jannah al-Firdaus is the highest degree of all, it has as roof the throne of Allah
(swt), so the most beautiful over the 100 levels that encompass the paradise.
• The Messenger ofAllah(saw) said, “Paradise has one hundred levels and
between each two levels is a distance like that between the heavens and earth.
Al-Firdaws is its highest level, from which four rivers of Paradise flow and above
which is theThrone. When you ask from Allah, ask for Al-Firdaws.”
• In another narration : Mu’adh bin Jabal (radiyallahu anhu) said: “I heard the
Messenger ofAllah say:’…If you ask ofAllah, ask Him for Firdaws.'”
Who are the Inheritors of Al Firdaus
So, what are those six tasks?
Most certainly those Believers have attained true success:
1. They who are during their prayer humbly submissive
2. And they who turn away from ill speech.
3. And they who are observant of zakah.
4. And they who guard their private parts. Except from their wives or those their right
hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed – But whoever seeks beyond that,
then those are the transgressors –
5. And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive.
6. And they who carefully maintain their prayers –
• Those are the inheritors.Who will inherit al-Firdaws.They will abide therein
eternally.”
1. Achieving khushu’ (concentration and humility) in our prayer
• ‘And seek help in patience and al-salaah (the prayer), and truly it is extremely
heavy and hard except for al-khaashi’oon …’ [al-Baqarah 2:45]
• Prophet (saw) said: “Five prayers which Allaah has made obligatory.Whoever
does wudoo’ properly for them, prays them on time, does rukoo’ properly and has
perfect khushoo’, it is a promise from Allaah that he will be forgiven, but whoever
does not do this, has no such promise – if Allaah wishes, He will forgive him, and if
He wishes, He will punish him.”
• Ammar bYasir(ra) reported’ Verily the servant prays a prayer of which nothing is
written down for him except a tenth, ninth, eighth, seventh, sixth, fifth, quarter,
third or half of it(the reward).
How to Achieve Khushu : 3 Steps
Things to do before you start your Salah:
• 1. Prepare for Salah ahead of time

• Dress nicely for your Salah.
• Select a place or spot where there will be less or no distractions.

• If you need to answer the call of nature, then do it first.
• Do not pray if you were overtaken by slumber or fatigue.
• 3. Contemplate about the greatness of whom you are standing before.
• Remember to consider this your final Salah
How to Achieve Khushu : 3 Steps
Things to do during your Salah:
• 1. Contemplate over the word Allahu Akbar while raising your hands up.You are
throwing everything behind your back and focusing on the salah.
• Considering the status of ihsan, ‘Pray as if you see Allah, if not then that as He sees you.’
• Fold your hands, the right on the left and look with your eyes down in humility. You are putting yourself
in a position of humbleness to Allah (swt).

• Start with commencing Du’a

Things to do after your Salah:
• 1. Do not move from your position right away. Do your dhikr and Du’a
• Do yourTasbih: The Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) is to make tasbih in the same place. The Prophet (saw) said the
angels make Du’a for you until you move from your position or break the Wudu
• 2. Review your Salah and Learn to upgrade your Salah
• 3. Pray your Nafl Salah in different location.
2.Turning away from useless speech and activities
“And they who turn away from ill speech”

observance of Islam (his piety) is to keep away from that which does not concern
him.
“And they who are observant of zakah”
3. Engaging in purification of the self and wealth
4. Guarding our chastity
“And they who guard their private parts”
• Maryam & AngelJibreal
• Yusuf
• “Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is
purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do. And tell the believing women
to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts…” [Qur’an:Chapter 24: 30-31]
5. Honoring our words, trusts and promises
“And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive”
• Prophet(saw) migration to Medina and Left Ali(ra)
6. Maintaining our prayers on time
“And they who carefully maintain their prayers”
Ibn Mas`ud said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah , `O Messenger of Allah, which
deed is most beloved to Allah’ He said, (Prayer at the appointed time.)
The Best of Human
“O mankind, indeedWe have created you from male and female and made you
peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of
you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing
and Acquainted.” [Surah Hujrat 49:Verse 13]
“That isJannah, whichWe give as inheritance to those of Our servants who
were fearing of Allah .[Surah Maryam19 : 63]
And that is Jannah which you are made to inherit for what you used to
do.[43:72]
