The initial plan for a music video involved narrative and performance shots with split screens and distorted reflections to represent themes of identity and isolation. While not all initial ideas were used, the final video contrasted everyday life settings with studio performance shots to add professionalism. An initial idea of including swings was removed as it was deemed irrelevant and replaced with another shot.

Initial plan – November 2010<br />Narrative music video/ performance shots<br />Head turns on ‘looking out a dirty old window’ and possibly split the screen into four?<br />Who am I, who are you? – puddle or sink and distort the reflection<br />Show band as outcasts?<br />Swings- to represent loneliness?<br />December 2010 –February 2011<br />Whilst we didn’t stick to all of our initial ideas, we used a variety of shots in everyday life setting which we contrasted with performance shots in the studio. This worked to great effect and added professionalism to our video. We also removed the swing shot as even though it was conceptual, we felt it was irrelevant and replaced it with a different shot.<br />
