The Scottish Resource Centre for Women in SET Sets out to create sustainable change for the participation of women in the SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) sectors in Scotland through: Changing employment practices and workplace cultures to support gender equality Supporting the recruitment, retention, return and success of women where they are significantly under-represented. We work with: Employers Women in the sector, or returning to the sector Students The network for women studying Science, Engineering, Technology and the Built Environment in Scotland
Women’s Networks Women’s networks exist in business & industry today Women in Technology Women in Property Within large companies Raise awareness of women working in these fields Give the members many opportunities making contacts / friendships personal & career development Enhanced CV The network for women studying Science, Engineering, Technology and the Built Environment in Scotland

Students set the agenda Supported by faculty Some event ideas: Pizza lunch in the first week of term Invite recent graduates back for coffee Speed networking Presentation for employers / qualified women The network for women studying Science, Engineering, Technology and the Built Environment in Scotland
The benefits for students Build links with industry Meet qualified women working in their subject A chance to meet other female students  Develop their CV & employability Opportunity to promote SET to younger students Be up to date with news and events in their field The network for women studying Science, Engineering, Technology and the Built Environment in Scotland
