The Internet is a global network of interconnected computer networks that use IP to transmit data. It consists of millions of smaller private, academic, business and government networks carrying services like email, websites, file transfers etc. The Internet allows greater workplace flexibility and mobility as it can now be accessed virtually anywhere via mobile phones and routers. It facilitates email communication, remote access to information, easy sharing of ideas and collaboration between users, and file sharing through email attachments or uploads.
