Interview skills
Derived from a Latin and middle
French word, it means ‘to see between’
A meeting between people when
questions are asked and answered to
elicit information.
Interview acts as a filtering device though
which the interviewer screens in the desired
candidate. It’s a method to short-list the
candidates who are closer to the caliber
required to fit into the job profile.

 Keep It Short and Simple – Be brief
 Focus on work-related skills

life
 Tailor your answer to the need of the
organisation.
 Never reveal a damaging weakness
 Present it in a successfully corrected and
learned form
e.g. “ My greatest weakness is neglecting to
delegate work due to the fear of work not
being completed as to my standards”
 Always mention and focus on your strength
 All aspects of the company should pop into
your mind
 Like, researched the values – Customer first
 Provide evidence – awards- sales – figures
 Spoke to people in the company
 Used annual reports
State your true preference , but state
that you perform independently as well
as in a group.
This question is concern with potential
manageability problems. You might want
to respond by indicating that you welcome
constructive criticism and that it helps you
to learn and grow.
This is a perfect opportunity to sell yourself.
Recap your accomplishments. The trick is to
set yourself apart, and you can do this by
highlighting a unique trait that you have
