Introducing Co4Cloud: how will it benefit the citizen science community?

Cos4Cloud is introducing several new citizen science services that will benefit the citizen science community. These services include Cos4Bio-Cos4Env for downloading and identifying citizen science observations, DUNS for acknowledging citizen scientists' data contributions, MOBIS for customizing mobile citizen science projects, and MECODA, FASTCAT-Cloud/Edge, Pl@ntNet Api, AI-Naturalist, AI-GeoSpecies, Biodiversity-DL, and Authenix which provide tools for data analysis, identification, and authentication in citizen science projects. Cos4Cloud aims to involve the citizen science community in using these new services.

- 12. 12 Cos4Bio – Cos4Env An online portal to download and identify observations from multiple citizen observatories. DUNS A data-use notification to acknowledge and reward citizen scientist’s participation by recognizing their authorship and track use of the data they collected in a global context MOBIS A mobile interface that will allow citizen scientists to customize their own project by collecting and combining useful information from photographs or from low-cost sensors linked to a mobile website or a native app platform. MECODA A service to facilitate analysis and viewing of citizen science data. .
- 13. 13 13 FASTCAT-Cloud A platform that will be able to automatically filter out unwanted pictures from camera traps and propose the species name. FASTCAT-Edge A platform to automatically filter unwanted images from video streams and propose the species name. Pl@ntNet Api It will allow users to query the Pl@ntNet identification engine and get access to Pl@ntNet data. AI-Naturalist A similarity-search based identification service that will allow citizen science platforms to develop automatic identification tools adapted to their needs.

Biodiversity-DL A web service that shows potential species to be observed in a set area. Works on a scale of 50 thousand species on a Europe- wide level. Authenix Authentication as a service to accomplish the GDPR in all the services related to citizen science & the EOSC.
