What are the animals?
The animals, as the alive beings. Both need energy to live, but they obtain it of different. The plants use solar power, and the animals that of the food.  The animals can eat plants, animals or both things.  Many types of animals exist and the scientists classify them under groups.
The great quantity and diversity of animals that live our planet has forced to classifying them of many ways. Some of them are complex enough and need very specializing knowledge. When the animals possess skeleton composed by bones, one classifies them as vertebrates.
There are some animals that do not possess skeleton, as the insects and any species(kinds) of sea, therefore they are devoid of vertebral column.
The animals can live or to move for land, in the water or in the air. In agreement with this characteristic, the animals that live in the land and move only in her(it) are called terrestrial animals.
