Introduction
This document introduces a traditional Catholic planner that aims to help families implement the beauty of the liturgy into their daily lives. The planner provides information and suggestions for celebrating traditional Catholic feast days from the pre-1962 calendar. It is meant to help families rediscover the rich heritage of these feasts and live according to the ebb and flow of the liturgical year, taking comfort in the traditions passed down over generations. While not comprehensive, it includes the most common feasts for each month and some that are special to the author's family, with extra space to add personal feasts and remembrances. The planner can also help plan a homeschool curriculum and manage appointments according to the liturgical calendar.

For more than 700 years the Church observed feasts according to the traditional calendar (pre-1962), with most families living life to the ebb and flow of each liturgical celebration. From Candlemas to Christmas, Catholics throughout the world took comfort in the beautiful traditions handed down from generation to generation. Embracing Tradition – A Traditional Catholic Planner is by no means comprehensive…the feasts included are those most frequently associated with that particular month, with a few that are particularly dear to our family. Please add your own! Additional space has been provided to list Name days and birthdays, baptismal days and Confirmation remembrances…these are your special feasts, and they deserved to be noted!The planner is also an ideal tool for outlining a homeschool course of study for the year, as well as to assist in managing appointments. Having these our traditional celebrations outlined ahead of time helps me coordinate each school day with a focus on living the liturgical year…and I need all the help I can get!
