- 1. INTRODUCTION TO BASIC HTML TAGS
- 2. WHAT IS HTML? HTML stands for Hyper text Markup Language. It allows users to make web pages.
- 3. WORKING WITH YOUR HTML FILE Notepad ++ (or) normal note pad A browser any one of these( fire fox , chrome).
- 4. BASIC HTML TAGS HTML consists of a short code called a “tag” typed into a text file. These tags are coding instructions embedded in the HTML document.
- 5. BASIC PAIRED TAGS… These are mandatory and placed at the beginning and end of an HTML file.
- 6. UNPAIRED TAGS… Is also known as Stand Alone tag. It doesn’t need a closing tag.
- 7. HEADINGS TAGS The Tags <h1> & </h1> Defines the most important heading (largest font size) The tags <h6> & </h6> Defines the least important heading (smallest font size)
- 10. SEPARATOR/ CONTAINER TAGS These tags separate words and sentences on a page.
- 11. ATTRIBUTES An attribute is used to define the characteristics of an element and is placed inside the element’s opening tag. For example: This text uses a <font face=“Jokerman”> Jokerman</font> font face.
