A sculpture is a three-dimensional art object that can  -communicate abstract ideas - expresses an atmosphere -evokes certain emotions.

Evoke certain emotions Rowan Gillespie- Famine Memorial statues The Famine Memorial statues were presented to the City of Dublin in 1997. These statues were designed and crafted by Dublin sculptor Rowan Gillespie. The Famine statues are located on Custom House Quay. These sculptures show the pain and suffering that people of Ireland suffered through the famine period.
