• According to W3Techs – WordPress is used by 61.6% of websites they
know what they run.
– This is represents 43.5% of all websites that exist on the internet.
• Started as fork (or derivate) of B2/Cafelog – a weblog (blogging)
platform.
• Continued as a blogging platform, soon stood out as personal
publishing platform.
