This document provides instructions for participating in webinars hosted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) including how to register for webinars, ensure your computer is configured correctly, connect to sessions, use features during sessions like audio and messaging, and where to go for additional help or training.

- 2. Prepare for Your First Webinar Note: You may need help from technical support and/or your network guru. Connect your speakers, microphone and optional web cam. A complete list of hardware and software requirements may be found at www.pdewebinars.org/sysrequirements.html Download the software from the Elluminate Support link on the Webinar Home Page at www.pdewebinars.org Port 80 and 2187 must be open www. elluminate .com/support is the direct link Visit the CCIU Test room at http://vclass.cciu.org to ensure your computer is ready to connect to the webinar server.
- 3. Preparation Continued Set your Connection Speed (vclass.cciu.org) Click on the Session Menu Click on the Connection Speed option Click on the radio button that represents your connection speed.
- 4. Preparation Final Step Test your Audio (vclass.cciu.org) Click on the Tools Menu Click on the Audio option Click on Set Up Audio option Follow the instructions on the screen
- 5. PDE Sponsored Webinar Registration Peruse the schedule on the PDE Webinar Home Page: www. pdewebinars .org Click on the Register link or button. Complete the Registration form.
- 6. Webinar Participation Locate the session announcement on the Webinar Home Page: www.pdewebinars.org 10-15 minutes before the start time Click the More button Click the Join button
- 7. Joining the Webinar Session Click on the Meeting Name Login with your first and last name. There is no password to enter the webinar.
- 8. Session Audio Check Test your Audio (vclass.cciu.org) Click on the Tools Menu Click on the Audio option Click on Set Up Audio option Follow the instructions on the screen
- 9. Welcome to the Webinar Session The Environment Participants Messaging Audio Whiteboard WHITEBOARD PARTICIPANTS MESSAGING AUDIO
- 10. Webinar Session Orientation Raise your hand to ask a question during interactive sessions. Refrain during presentations as the audible tone distracts the audience and the speaker. Click here to raise or lower your hand.
