Apollo And Athene to Acquire PK Airfinance
From Gecas
Apollo Global Management, LLC; Athene Holding Ltd.; and GE Capital,
the financial services arm of GE announced that they have entered into a
definitive agreement for Apollo and Athene to purchase PK AirFinance,
an aviation lending business, from GE Capital’s Aviation Services
(GECAS) unit. In connection with this transaction, Apollo will acquire
the PK AirFinance aircraft lending platform and Athene will acquire PK
AirFinance’s existing portfolio of loans. PK AirFinance is a leading air-
craft lending business that serves airlines, aircraft traders, lessors, inves-
tors and financial institutions globally with loans to borrowers in more
than 40 countries.

complementary platforms, and exceptional track record across
diversified assets and geographies make it the ideal partner to
accelerate PK AirFinance’s growth. This sale is aligned to GE Capital’s

GE Healthcare launches a new microscope to support
researchers and their ever-increasing need to see
extreme details in cells, without having to choose
whether speed, depth or clarity is more important. The
DeltaVision OMX Flex super-resolution microscope is
a highly stable, multichannel imaging platform
optimized for structured illumination microscopy
(SIM), and now includes EDGE confocal technology.
Super Resolution Microscopy (SRM) includes the
most powerful microscopy tools used for investigating
cellular structures because of the level of detail

Honeywell Expands Navigation Offerings To Meet Evolving
Requirements For Industrial Applications
Honeywell is introducing two new inertial measurement units (IMUs) to
provide world-class navigation in a small, lightweight package without
compromising on cost. Built to withstand almost any environment in the
air, on land or underwater, these small-but-mighty sensors can serve
several markets, including agriculture, robotics, survey/mapping,
unmanned vehicles and transportation. An IMU uses gyroscopes,
accelerometers and electronics to give precise rotation and acceleration
data to a platform's control system. The IMU enables the system to
calculate where it is, what direction it's going and at what speed, even
when GPS signals aren't available. The HGuide i300
Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) IMU can be used in several
industrial applications, such as autonomous vehicle testing, precision
agriculture, surveying and mapping, pipeline inspections, platform
control, and motion compensation. The HG4930 S-Class IMU provides
high bandwidth and high data rates for precision stabilization needs,

Honeywell announced that Fujian Meide Petrochemical Co.,
Ltd. will use the Honeywell Process Reliability Advisor to
provide prescriptive monitoring of its UOP C3 Oleflex™ unit
in China. The Oleflex unit is designed to convert propane into
660,000 tons per year of propylene, the primary component in
many plastic resins, films and fibers. Honeywell Process
Reliability Advisor continuously feeds plant data through
Honeywell UOP process and fault models with sophisticated
software to provide key performance information and process
recommendations. The service helps plants run more smoothly
and detects problems before they can affect production and
plant profitability. Honeywell UOP's C3 Oleflex technology is
a propane dehydrogenation process that converts propane to
propylene. Its low-energy consumption, low emissions and
fully recyclable, platinum-alumina-based catalyst system
minimizes its impact on the environment, and has a lower cash
cost of production and higher return on investment compared
to other technologies.

Simigon Awarded Blanked Purchase Agreement from United
States Air Force For Virtual And Mixed Reality Systems

Simigon Wins Usaf F-15e Mixed Reality Contract
SimiGon, Ltd., a global leader in modelling, simulation &

Caithness Energy Orders GE’s HA Gas Turbines

GE announced that Caithness Energy has ordered three
of GE’s record-setting 7HA.02 gas turbines for its
1,875-megawatt, combined-cycle, natural gas electric
generating facility—the Guernsey Power Station—in
Guernsey County, Ohio. In addition to GE’s 7HA.02
gas turbines, the world’s largest and most-efficient
heavy-duty gas turbines, the order also includes heat
recovery steam generators and steam turbine
generators for each 7HA.02 unit, which will produce
the equivalent electricity needed to power
approximately 1.5 million homes within the PJM
region. GE will also service the facility under a
multi-year services agreement and provide digital
solutions to combine equipment sensor data with

Honeywell Technology Selected for PetroChina
Guangdong Integrated Petrochemicals Facility
Honeywell announced that PetroChina Guangdong
Petrochemical Company will adopt advanced heavy
oil processing technology from Honeywell UOP for its
integrated petrochemical complex in China. The new
facility will have an annual crude processing capacity
of 20 million tons, helping to meet a national energy
security strategy while transforming PetroChina
Guangdong into a more fully integrated
petrochemicals supplier. Honeywell UOP will provide
a range of technology licenses, engineering design,
key equipment, and state-of-the-art catalysts and
adsorbents, operator training, technical services for
startup and continuing operation. The project includes
a 3.7 million tons per annum (mtpa) Unicracking™
hydrocracking unit, which converts heavy vacuum gas
oil into the raw materials for motor fuels and
petrochemicals. The facility also will include two
Honeywell UOP CCR Platforming™ units, each with
a capacity of 3.0 mtpa, to produce fuels and aromatics,
and hydrogen essential for other processes in the plant.

Oleflex™ Unit For Zhejiang Satellite

metric tons per year of polymer-grade propylene for a new
petrochemicals complex in China. This is the second C3 Oleflex unit

unit in 2014. Oleflex technology is helping to meet the growing demand
in China for propylene, a key ingredient in plastics. Oleflex technology
has been selected for a majority of dehydrogenation projects globally

Yacht Club cruise line. Valued at more than NOK 190 million,
KONGSBERG’s most extensive ‘Full Picture’ delivery for an
expedition cruise ship, Innovation, also encompasses the
supply and integration of propulsion equipment including the
new ELegance azimuth pod system, Bergen engines,
stabilizers, bridge and automation systems, accompanied by a
comprehensive electrical, navigation and hybrid technology
package. Delivery is expected to be accomplished in the
second quarter of 2020, with the engineering and construction
phases taking an estimated two years to complete. The ship
will be fully compliant with the IMO’s forthcoming 2020
emission rules and regulations. An energy consumption and
analysis system based on KONGSBERG’s digital platform
will provide tools for detailed monitoring and energy
optimisation.

Bosch and CATL collaborate on battery cells
Bosch and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL)
have concluded a long-term strategic cooperation agreement. The
partners are going to jointly specify high-performance battery cells.
CATL will then design, develop, and manufacture these cells in
accordance with Bosch requirements. The cells are to be used in the
48-volt battery developed by Bosch. This battery is the core element of
48-volt hybrid powertrain systems, whose efficiency is making them
globally ever more important. In joining this alliance, the supplier of
technology and services is also securing its long-term sourcing for
battery cells. CATL, one of the world's leading experts of lithium-ion
battery is currently building a battery factory in Erfurt, Germany. For

GE selected as lifecycle partner for Poland’s
largest refinery plant
GE Steam Power has been selected by Orlen to deliver a full
life cycle power generation package for its Plock refinery plant
which includes a new steam turbine generator set, Predix Asset
Performance Management (APM) software and Industrial
Managed Services, as well as a 10-year Multi-Year Agreement
(MYA). This mix of industrial hardware, software and service
expertise will help our customer increase the reliability and
efficiency and extend the overall life of its plant.
Elektrociepłownia Płock is the largest industrial unit of this
type in Poland. With GE’s modernization project, the plant
will continue to deliver stable and reliable electricity and
supply heat for its own production as well as the companies
operating in the vicinity and the city of Plock for years to
come. The new steam turbine generator set will replace the
existing equipment at Plock Unit 1, which has been in
operation for the past 50 years. Under a turnkey contract, GE
Steam Power will integrate the new steam turbine generator
set and its auxiliaries into the existing turbine island. Unit 1’s
output will increase from 55MW to 65MW along with a 10%
increase in efficiency.

Honeywell and NRStor C&I Launch Largest Behind-the-Meter
Battery Energy Storage Program in the World
Honeywell announced an agreement with NRStor C&I
L.P. to launch the Experion® Energy Program, which
will create the largest behind–the-meter (BTM) energy
storage deployment to date in North America. The
agreement will offer energy storage as a service to

operate 300 megawatts (MW) of BTM battery energy
storage systems (BESS) across the U.S. and Canada
starting in early 2020. Operated remotely, these

energy storage systems will be supported by two
state-of-the-art remote operations centers (ROCs) that
use proprietary artificial intelligence-based peak

These centers will automatically start the battery
