This document summarizes a study that analyzed the behavior of concrete filled steel tube (CFST) columns under axial compression loading through experimental testing and finite element analysis using ABAQUS. CFST columns of varying lengths, thicknesses, and cross-sectional shapes were tested. The results found that increasing steel tube thickness enhances column capacity. Ultimate loads from ABAQUS modeling varied 4-8% from experimental values. Loads from Eurocode 4 design varied 2-9% from ABAQUS. Finite element analysis in ABAQUS was able to accurately predict column behavior when compared to experimental test results.
