This document discusses using a backpropagation (BP) neural network model to predict the sound quality of medium cooling fan noise. It begins by describing an experiment where 34 fan noise samples were subjectively evaluated by participants using a group comparison method. Psychoacoustic parameters were then measured from the samples. A BP neural network with a 4-15-15-1 topology was trained on data from samples 1-24 and tested on samples 25-34. The results showed good prediction accuracy and convergence, demonstrating the feasibility of using a BP neural network model for fan noise quality prediction.
