Status Report
As of April 15, 2016 the Webfashion.com website is about one month into its
development. So far, the project has been on budget and schedule with the work break-down
structure. Due to unforeseen circumstances, however, the Back End task of the execution phase
has begun to fall behind schedule. The lead programmer’s wife had a baby which has caused
them to have to work from home. Understandable, he has not been able to be as productive from
home as he could have been in the office. The result of him working from home to tend to his
baby was a few late tasks. Below in the “Project Overview” in the “Late Tasks” table, there are
three tasks that should have been fully completed by April 15. Also, on the following page
under “Critical Tasks” there are 13 tasks that have no room in the schedule for any other
scheduling conflicts. This is also a direct result of our Lead Programmer having to stay home
and take care of his new born baby.
Ismail_Status Report (2)
The Webfashion website development project is 83% complete at the moment. The baseline was
set for March 14th and had a cost of $86,444.00 and the remaining cost is $95,100.00 for the
entire project. In the graph labeled “Progress Versus Cost” you can see that we have been on
budget for the most part of the project. Due to the Lead Programmer having to work from home,
we have experienced a setback in the scheduled completion of our tasks. This is directly
correlated to our projected project cost being slightly over budget around May 22nd.
