This paper introduces a novel pairwise scanpath similarity measure using vector-based representations to better compare visual scanpaths in eye-tracking research. Unlike traditional methods that simplify data by quantizing scanpaths or ignoring temporal order, this approach retains detailed features such as shape, fixation position, length, direction, and duration. The proposed method aims to improve the robustness and multifaceted analysis of scanpaths, addressing existing limitations in current comparative measures.
