A resourceful, hardworking and dedicated Electrical Engineer, with over ten year’s engineering expertise in
the mining industry. High Voltage authorised and trained with the ability to demonstrate excellent leadership
and knowledge of health and safety guidelines. Able to work effectively independently and as part of a
productive team, demonstrating the motivation and multi- tasking abilities required to achieve demanding

2003 – Date Class 1 Electrical Craftsman, UK Coal, Thoresby Colliery
• Personally tasked with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
• Successfully achieving time served apprenticeship and progression to HND qualification with
responsibility for the examination and signing off of equipment on the PM scheme.
• Safely operating electrical plant equipment in accordance with Health and Safety procedures, methods
of work, risk assessments, Planned Job Instruction Sheets and the Permit to Work procedures.
• Complying with company’s requirements by following instructions and accurately documenting
activities, carrying out specified testing to improve the process yield and quality.
• Complying with company’s policies, safety and environmental requirements to ensure equipment
performance and process continuity are maintained.
• Demonstrating effective problem solving through using experience and diagnostic skills to identify
equipment and process problems and identify modes of failure, deviations or root causes.
• Ensuring accurate documentation through completing records accurately and in a timely manner
ensuring compliance with policies, laws and regulations, collaborating with various teams and experts.
• Playing a pivotal role in improvement projects by assisting with the installation and upgrading of
equipment as well as with the development of operating procedures together with a team of six including
a mechanical and a deputy supervisor.

H&S department, reporting of incidents and participating in root cause investigations of
countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
